Re: mileage
I run 87 octane as well. My husband's motorcycle manual said 93 and he started putting in reg 87 octane and actually got better gas mileage for his bike. Weight, how heavy you accelerate, and how level your riding surface does make a big difference. I weight 295 lb my average mpg is only 85.30 with ...

Re: Chicago here...
Congrats on your new scooter and welcome to the forum. I live 40 miles west of Chicago in Geneva. I was sidelined for a few weeks due to a broken shoulder. Since then I have been enjoying my little PCX. I think it is quite a site to see me trail after my husband's big cruiser. I've never used a brak...

Re: Well I saw the new Burgman 200 today
The place I bought my PCX I won't be going back to. They gave me a run around when they had to replace the belt that malfunction with less then 500 miles on it. When I had to have my first 600 mile tune up I took it to another dealer. Let me tell you a world of difference. They did the service and I...

Re: the motorcyclist Wave
I agree I like the wave or head nod. A couple months ago we were driving home late at night in the car and we saw a couple pushing their bike. We stopped and found out they had ran out of gas. I drove home and got our gas can filled it up and brought it up to them. We all have to stick together one ...

Re: Lost the hump ...
I took the hump off but then I ended up putting it back on. I didn't like the looks without and I kind of likesd it but I did re-drilled the holes further back and it helped. It might have only been and inch but it helped.

Re: Terrible experience at the MVA today
I know I didn't have to much terrible in Illinois. Although when I told them that it was a scooter they said well you need a L class license. I told no because it is over a 149 cc so I have to have a M class license. They were okay and put it though as a M class.

Re: Moving away from the PCX
We are planing on keeping the PCX after we get the new scooter for my husband to ride during the warmer winter days as the other scooter and his motorcycle will be in storage. I'm sure that I will still ride it around town too.

Re: the motorcyclist Wave
At first I didn't wave because I wasn't comfortable on the scooter now I give and get wave backs. To be honest it's the other scooter riders that I consistently don't get a wave back from. There are some HD riders that obviously don't wave back but I think to myself "Oh well". My husband j...

Re: Moving away from the PCX
I had mine less then 6 months and most of that was in storage and I found out that it was too small for me. Now I'm just waiting to get some money together and I will be moving on to something else. Although I do love my PCX.
Good Luck with the BMW. Looks great!

It would be nice to have a light in there. My husband has saddle bags on his motorcycle and we put those tap lights in each bag. Works great.

I checked out their website but they don't have the PCX listed on the website yet. You might have to contact them on the phone directly.

Re: looking for advise
See I agree with Bash On. It seems that the sweet spot for me is 40-45 mph, it takes forever for it to get up to 55 mph. I've only gotten my PCX up to 60 mph on a good day. It's mostly flat but I do have some hills. Where the hills are the speed limit is only 35 mph, it has no problem. For me at 55 ...

Re: Farewell PCX
I'm having the same problem. That as much as I love the PCX it just isn't the right scooter for my needs either. I tried the Forza and for me it wasn't a good fit. I will still buy another larger scooter, I'm just not sure which one yet. I went to a different dealer then the one I bought my PCX. If ...

Well Mel I don't think any amount of light would have helped in my accident either. She was turning out of a parking lot, never stoped and I don't think she even look in my direction.

Thanks everybody. I will have to see if my staple gun will work I have a couple so I may try and see if either one works. I still have the hump off for now but I'm still not liking it.

Re: Another hump question
Thanks Alibally. I thought of reshaping the hump but I wasn't sure that my staple gun would work on the hard plastic of the hump. Thanks for all the pictures. It does give me something to go off of.
