davenowherejones wrote: Sat Jan 29, 2022 8:30 pm Has anyone tried muffler cement or hight temperature RTV in place of the $32 Canadian gasket which does not last that long?
I answered the question in the other thread - use gasket paper and red RTV
Using it for cars, trucks, tractors, dozers, for years

crofty wrote: Wed Jan 19, 2022 4:48 am Thanks canthai, that confirms what i thought about the new 350. Olhins eh, that sounds expensive, will check out the price, good to know they work on the bad surfaces though.
Ain't cheap - about 22,000 THB for the rear. 500 GBP
But can be rebuilt here by a shop in Bangkok so will last forever.

(Highlands of Scotland) Anyway thinking of the newer 350 and upgrading the rear suspension but wondered if anyone had any recommendations. And as this forum i...

If a flat gasket, buy some gasket paper - thick - from anywhere and coat both sides with red silicone

The Honda dealer sells for a little bit less, but I know of no other choice for overseas purchase of OEM parts at these prices

Re: Cruise control devices

I would not use a locking device without an instant disengagement feature , and then I would only use it on long sustained highway runs.I think its a nice option to have available. Agree 100% - you want to be looking for a button in a panic stop ??? They do make electronic cruise controls for bikes...

Re: Cruise control devices

I would not want any type of a locking device on my bikes. For the obvious reasons !!! I have used one of these for many years, have them on all my bikes except the Forza which is used for town and so throttle position varies all the time. Works well. Stops wrist fatigue and that caused by a constan...

Re: ENGINE STRETCH BRACKET

Now I get it.
That add-on bracket to move the shock toward the rear will act just like a lever, as the Thai PCX riders found out, and apply excess force on the belt case.
My view - stay away.

I have never heard of this 'Engine Stretch Bracket'
And can not tell from you pictures what it is - the red piece ? The piece outlined in green ?
So do not have a clue where you would buy one.

I do not know what you mean - engine bracket to stretch it.
My Forza has Ohlins, and looks exactly like the bike pictured above.
No extra bracket added

Taking a look at the news re: flooding in the lower mainland.
Should get back there, buy another tractor and tridem end dump.
Will be LOTS of work on road repair/rebuilding.
But I won't - loving retirement !!!
