Highway Pegs Install - PCX

I'm looking to install highway pegs on my PCX for more comfort on long rides. Has anyone done this or know of a way to do this?

Welcome! Wow, No not that I've seen or know of. Hmm, interesting. Do you have any ideas in mind to "make that happen?" Where would one mount them securely?

I've found that the upright section of the foot wells works decently as highway pegs. Not much in front of that other than the forks... maybe throw pegs on those and use them to steer?

On the big bikes, like Harleys, I think the highway pegs are on the highway bars.

There are Highway Pegs (Pegs)
And then we have a combo of both.
What shall weez call them? ^^
Highway Footsie Bars? Pegs Highway Bars? Lazy Bars?

No idea on how to do this. How tall are you?

The Forza seat does not allow a tall person to move back. Putting pegs sticking out ruins the aerodynamics of a relatively low powered scooter so getting to highway speed might be a problem. Big feet as a air brake would not be good.

I see people with wide highway pegs and their legs spread wide apart. It always makes me laugh and then groan that their balls must be really big.

Sorry it just strikes me as a dangerous way to ride a motorcycle since you can't shift gears or use the rear brake, not a problem on a Forza but still dangerous looking.

No reason to shift gears in high gear at cruising speed and if you know how to ride, be aware of your surroundings and pay attention, very rarely would you need to suddenly get on your brakes and if need be it only takes one tenth of a second to move your foot to your rear brake pedal...if you're paying attention that is!

I'm going to attempt uploading some pics to show exactly what I've done and how I did it if anyone is interested in doing this mod.
Being 6'2" I couldn't even ride my bike for any extended period of time before getting cramped up. Now my legs are basically straight with a slight bend at the knees and I have a full range of further adjustments if I need to.
The pics are basically self-explanatory and I cover every step. Cutting the plastics was the most difficult part of the entire job since the measurements have to be precise and....if you use the Wrong tool you will break/crack the plastic...Like I did! (So I ordered 2 new ones and was extra careful).
I used a Dremel with a multi-purpose cutting bit and followed my outline Very slowly. After a little sanding I'm very happy with how they turned out.
PS: DO NOT use a jig saw to cut the plastics, the vibration is what destroyed them!

Also, I forgot to mention....If any of you decide to do this you have to Make Sure that the brackets bolted to the U-channel don't come down any lower than the bottom edge of the U-channel or the plastics Won't clear when reinstalling. Ask me how I know this! Yup, just when I thought I was done I had to go back and use a cutoff wheel to cut about 3/8" of the bracket off the bottom.
ALSO, if any of you have access to a welder it would make this job a hell of a lot easier and quicker!

I agree with George that was FUN! A person would really have to want it bad for the effort but Daham nice work! One of the down sides of scooters over all other bikes is the running boards concerning your dirty, muddy or oily boot riding on them. I find myself wiping down the runners and windscreen after every ride on PCX and that's one more thing than I do for the Buell... so YAY for pegs

PS those lower side panels you knocked out holes in are less than 40 bucks for the set... so no real concern.

Plus I bet this has a benefit un-intended for the natural side forward on the saddle. Probably the best solution to the uncomfortable seat on PCX we've seen... and that wasn't even your mission

I would call this an improvement on PCX comfort and riding position.
Is it aesthetically pleasing? no, but neither is a tall windscreen and you guys love those

It's a curious Stateside thing. On bikes most of the rest of the world move the pegs to the rear, if they move them at all.

Nice to see it done and appreciate the pictures.

Honestly I've never ridden with highway pegs on any motorcycle but yes every other biker you see on the road can lay back and put his feet up spread eagle and cruise all day long. Must be easy on the back or something. It never really looked like you're ready for evasive action. More like you'll need to pull your dick out of your butt if you ever T-bone
