Airhawk seat

Has anyone experience of which Airhawk inflateable seat fits best on the PCX150. The supplier recommends the AHR-L but it looks a little wide.
Being of light weight, at the moment I feel every bump.

You are probably better off with a cushion because I have the NCY rear adjustable shocks and they are not really doing much for the PCX. It's a hard tail but you get used to it.

What size was yours please?
There is one which is 28cm wide x 27cm long which looks the right size, the M size is 36 x 36 and the L is 36w x 33L.

Boy, I don't think I have ever seen a cover so worn out. Lots of riding. ...and no sore butt?? I would say that the seat cushion proved it's worth.

Another guy, the one from Pennsylvania on YouTube, put the NCY shocks on his PCX, and says it made a big difference. Maybe homie forgot how bad it was BEFORE the NCY shocks. Specifically, he said it doesn't bottom out any more. So that's not much to improve general ride quality, and if you're light, probably not worth it.

Or maybe the other guy just told himself it made a big difference, because it was so much damned work, taking off all the panels.

I put adjustable shocks on both of our bikes and they made a big difference in ride quality. I think anyone who has changed out their original shocks for adjustable ones knows how much of a difference they make. It may not help the hard seat, but it does cushion the rider from rough roads. To me, if you plan on doing any extended riding on your pcx, you need to replace the original shocks with aftermarket ones. It is easy to say that the improvements were minimal after you have gotten use to the aftermarket shocks, but if you go back to the original shocks after riding on the adjustable ones, you will definitely feel the difference.

Mel, Jeremy... I would subscribe to the idea that one might become used to the NCY shocks over time but there is the problem that when you set them to full firm and it seems to make no difference than full soft I can't endorse the shock or the 350.00 they ask for them. Maybe the PCX is at the extreme light end of application for the shocks performance range. Might be a great shock on a heavier bike.

I didn't like the air hawk.. I did not "feel" the bike as well as a cushion did. I was kind of sliding or joss ling from side to side on the curves and turns. I guess for some it would be fine I just like my ass having a good grip on the bike. My preference, however on a long straight run probably would be OK. I tried using the least amount of air pressure too.

I think you will find that the YSS shocks sold by powerbypcx.com are quite reasonable in price, and they will make a world of difference on your ride. There have been quite a few members here who have ordered them and have been very happy with their purchase.

Just to revive this with some fresh info.

Even on the new PCX, as much as Honda claimed to, the ride is far for comfortable.
On my previous PCX I ordered the YSS shocks from Thailand, which lasted for 2 days exactly before bottoming out & clunking - decided against returning & chucked straight in the bin.

My everyday 25 mile commute is killing my back and derriere - had to do something.

The picture on the box is not right, as it doesn't have a red line in the middle.

Went out to test it an hour ago and bought it. It's amazing! I still need to fin the perfect level of air, but that will take some time. Bumps are evened out - the bike still feels them but I don't experience the shocks anymore.

I had trouble measuring the seat and understanding what will fit. The AIRHAWK CRUISER MEDIUM was the perfect fit! I thought I'd help someone else confused about fitting.

It's not the V2, but the regular one with rubber bladder - my understanding it's the best one.

I have the red striped one and it’s OK, but doesn’t solve my problem. I still get saddle sore after a couple hours. The best solution I have to come up with is the optional seat for my bike from Yamaha which is memory foam. It works really well.

For me the Air Hawk is comfortable but it raises me up on the seat and so it alters my geometry on the bike.
