Indicator clicker
Hey guys, I just bought a second hand 2016 PCX150 (white), got it for a great price. Really happy with it so far. The only thing I dislike is the indicators. I'm not sure if mine are just broken but I can't hear them when driving. Also the indicator switch doesn't make an obvious click so sometimes it's on without me knowing. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there an easy fix for this?

The turn indicators on most scooters and motorcycles is silent. All you need to do is buy a replacement two pin relay that makes a noise. The relay is under the black dash cover.

Another option would be to add a beeper device by connecting its wires to the pins on your relay.

there should be a green light on each side of the speedo'. ? Mine are really bright so haven't bothered with awarding Device that gives audio feedback.DriverArk wrote:Hey guys, I just bought a second hand 2016 PCX150 (white), got it for a great price. Oh thanks, didn't know that. My last scooter you could easily feel if the indicator was centered and also made a loud clicking noise. Might give one of these a go.Mel46 wrote:The turn indicators on most scooters and motorcycles is silent. All you need to do is buy a replacement two pin relay that makes a noise. Yeah, that's the issue for me, I'm 190cm (6ft 3) tall and the indicators aren't in my field of view. I have to take my eyes off the road to check every time. It's really sunny here (I live in the tropics) so most of the time it isn't that bright.Yorkie150 wrote: there should be a green light on each side of the speedo'. ? Great price and happy with it is great. Are you riding it?DriverArk wrote:Hey guys, I just bought a second hand 2016 PCX150 (white), got it for a great price. Really happy with it so far. If the indicator thing is the only thing you dislike that is good isn’t it? The other 99.9% of it could be fantastic. If you ride it you may realise that your issue with a switch might fade with time.
You do know you ride a bike and not drive it? Indicators on bikes are less audible than those in cars as they don’t make a sound. If they did a helmet would make them a bit harder to hear. That and the wind noise.

In the UK, BMW and Aldi drivers have the opposite problem - they never seem to work full stop

Re: Indicator clicker
I had audible turn signal indicators on my Genuine Roughhouse and currently on my Zuma 125.
Nice to have. They can be a simple reminder to cancel the signal after moving on through the turn (especially during daylight). But then again if you are forgetful about things like that often perhaps being on a scooter isn't such a great idea. It does come down to survival and situation awareness.
Background noise such as wind, traffic, lawnmowers, and other contributors to sound in the environment can make it difficult for a pedestrian to notice the audible clicks but in fairly low key situations I've noticed pedestrians or bicycle riders acknowledge that I'm en route. A pedestrian may simply turn around to see what's coming or a bicycle rider may ride in a bit closer to the shoulder and look.
For those who are "on the go with places to be" and wear headphones/pods or have their face buried in a digital device it is quite evident that they are less focused on survival and more focused on entertainment/infotainment.
We live in times with technology never before seen on the face of this earth. It seems they have to rewrite the book about how to be accountable for one's actions.
Be careful out there!

Re: Indicator clicker
The cars around my area must not come with turn signals because drivers in BMWs, Tahoes, Lexus, etc. don't seem to use turn signals. What few expensive cars around here that do have them, seem to have them stuck in one direction...all the way to the next turn in the opposite direction.
But the cellphones work, so I guess driving is not part of the "phone experience".
