"If a bus is going 37mph headed for Cleveland, and it's snowing in Omaha - what color is the chicken?"
She seemed to buy that.

Wait, I thought the question was "what color is the chicken?"
The answer to that would depend on where the chicken is...(New Orleans), the day of the week (Tuesday), and what season (Spring). The answer to that is also dependent on whether it is Fat Tuesday of Mardi Gras. If so, then the answer is fuzzy red. Otherwise, it might be turquoise, but that would also depend on whether it wore glasses or a hat...that is the "Y" factor...(as in "WHY??)
Of course, that starts moving the math closer to Calculus.
