You can use a jump pack ,but you need to put the battery on a charger for 24 hours and bring it back to normal status. Any battery that has been flattened has been damaged in some regard, and should be recharged the full amount before you use it if you want the battery to last. Also set up some type of procedure in your mind to where you won’t Have it happen again, a few more times like this and the battery will be destroyed.

Nice bike, and congratulations, Steve. I thought that Smart key system included an auto-shutoff feature to prevent these so-common motorcycle hassles. I suppose it requires certain settings; maybe the kill-switch nullifies some less-smart piece of this. Good luck adjusting to your new 125, as I'm sure you will.

The smart key system does not include an automatic shut off. If you leave the ignition energized and turn off the bike with the kill switch on the handle bar or putting down the kickstand, the bike is still on and the battery will go flat.

well said but surely the procedure would be, lock the handle bars with the keyless selector, in that position, handlebars locked, the scooter just powers down 15 seconds later
never go near the kill switch (unless in an emergency)

I knew that smart key was gonna be a pain in the ass. My 2021 150a (abs) u.s came with a regular ole key..no smart anything and I'm sooooo glad for that

Likewise - would prefer a normal key and not worried about traction control - all the more to go wrong and more expense to maintain. 7+ years without ABS, just CBS and never a problem.

Re: New 125 2021 model flat battery
As jge64 mentioned; running any AGM battery dead will (not might) damage it. Bringing it back to full with a regular charger will damage it further and it will begin to sulfate.
It may take a few months or a year or two but eventually the bike's charging system will be running @100% to keep it up. Just saying; if it were me I'd mark my calendar for 6 months and just replace it.
Should it happen again, to a undamaged battery, a battery specialist (not auto stores) can recondition it for a nominal fee, or maybe even for free if you have a relationship with them.
Always buy batteries from people that sell them for a living!
Best of luck.
