First Ride of 2022
Hello all,
The weather popped up above 40 F for a little bit today so I took my motorcycle and my PCX for short rides.
It was still pretty chilly and as you can see we still have some snow on the ground. I was wearing my Klim Carlsbad pants and jacket so I was plenty warm. It was great to get out on the scoot again!
When you get yours out for the first time this year, post a picture and tell us about it here.
Cheers!

I tried using Imgur and also just dragging them directly into the post, but neither seems to be working. I'm not a big fan of this forum platform...

Re: First Ride of 2022
I use mine every day as its considerably quicker than using the car across the pond in the uk. 12 miles each way to work and back on country roads. I've had it in the snow and frosty mornings down to -6°c. I wear a heated vest, boot soles and have heated grips which seam to work well with a big screen and tucano urbano apron too. Ill take a pic tomorrow post it

Re: First Ride of 2022
great pictures , Sadly over in the UK we have had three major storms and really crappy weather . The authorities in the UK also seem to panic when it gets cold by spreading salt/grit on the roads which really make a mess of cars and motorcycles ..Sunny today but quite cold ...Hoping for better / dry weather ahead.....as my bikes haven't turned a wheel since September 2021

Re: First Ride of 2022
I got caught out at the weekend in the snow. To be fair their was plenty off grip available it was just the car drivers all driving at 5mph causing the issue. Heated kit worked a treat. It is as yorkie150 says in the uk the salt just hammers everything. I have to was the scooter every night because off it.

Re: First Ride of 2022
Do you have your heated gear wired in to the bike or is it battery operated? Wondering because I know you had some questions about the power of the charging system.
I really would like to wire in some heated grips and a jacket liner but I'm not sure how many spare amps she's putting out.
Cheers

Re: First Ride of 2022
I've got honda heated grips hard wired. Honda dealers did it when I bought it. The vest and boot soles are currently run from a battery but I'm currently trying to find a double USB power kit I can wire in to power them from the bike too. Plan is to fit them and see how the bike responds to another 3amp off draw on itdankly1 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 7:15 pmDo you have your heated gear wired in to the bike or is it battery operated? Re: First Ride of 2022
Also toying with making a separate battery supply to provide the power as worried they might overload the charging system and create problems if I hard wire them
