I am looking at used PCX scooters and have seen some 2013 and 2015. The 2013s I was looking at actually have fewer miles. They are around the same $.
While generally newer is better that isn't always the case. Is there any reason to favor one of these choice over another? Would go for a 2013 with 700 miles over a 2015 with 5k miles?
Is there anywhere been 2011 and 2017 (probably within my price range) that is superior model for some reason or not so good for some reason.
Thanks for any advice my soon to be PCX compatriots.

Re: 2013 vs 2015 buying decisions
I would take the 15… a 13 with only that might many miles on it means it’s been sitting rotting, , which means that they’re can be a lot wrong with it unless it’s been kept inside in a pristine heated garage. The 15 also is a major revision in the line versus a3 13.

Re: 2013 vs 2015 buying decisions
My 2013 has 6,300 miles on it, and it has NOT been sitting. I keep it in the garage, I wash it every year at the beginning of Spring, I change the oil every so many months, whether it needs it or not .It is well taken care of. In other words, just because it has low miles does not mean that it isn't well taken care of. In fact, I suspect that I will be putting mine up for sale this year, but not because I don't love it. I am just getting too old to ride. Asking for $2,000 is not asking too much for a bike that has almost every accessory I could think of on it without tearing apart the engine and installing a larger piston. It will reach 75 MPH on the road. I don't see a need to go faster than that on back roads, and the freeway is not a good place for light weight scooters...though I have done it a few times.
Also know that before the PCX160 came along the 2013 model was the fastest and most capable model for being upgraded.

Re: 2013 vs 2015 buying decisions
My shoulders hurt, my back hurts (13 back surgeries and 1 more coming eventually), my knees hurt, and my reflexes aren't what they use to be. It is almost like when I reached 75 my body decided to let me know that I had to slow down. I guess if I lived in southern Florida, where things move slower, I would still ride, but as of right now I just hurt all the time. It sucks to get old!comecamino wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 6:09 pm
What a pity to have to read this. What makes you think that?

Well I made a decision, I know you all were clearly putting your lives on pause to find out
.
I ended up getting a 2016 with around 8,500 miles.
Will be posting up a pic.
First time riding a scooter (or any motorized two wheel vehicle) in over 3 years.
