Hey there,
in case the battery runs empty you can open the seat with the emergency key.
This emergency key seems to be a standard piece of plastic - hard to imagine that there is some technique inside and that this key just works on my own bike. So anybody with this key can open my seat and takes out my belongings stored in the seat.
This seems to me like huge design mistake from Honda. Anyone here that has a tip in how to make this more secure? Maybe adding an extra lock or anything to this emergency key thing.
Thank you,
Chris

Seriously, you think somebody is gonna be carrying this type of counterfeit adapter to get into your bike? I doubt it any theme would think about doing that, clearly Honda is banking on the fact that no one would be carrying some type of device that would allow you to get into your bike. I think you’re just being paranoid.

Not just the PCX. Forza, ADV, SH, any of their keyless scooters I think.ThaiDriver wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 3:58 am Hey there,

That’s it. You can just buy those keys online and open any kind of keyless scooter.
I might be too worried, but I wanted also to leave my laptop inside the scooter sometimes and knowing that it’s so easy to open is kinda worrying.

Re: Universal Emergency Key for every PCX?
This thread is a bit old but I thought I'd clarify the misconception that all it takes is the emergency plastic key to open the seat. Even though these keys can be purchased for a couple $, the challenge is they come with 4 small magnets that have to be inserted in a particular combination in six holes on the key. While that's not many combinations to choose from, it's still tedious enough to make it difficult to use these keys to open the seat. Unless, of course, someone is carrying 15 keys, each with a different combo, and tries all to open the seat...
