Wow, my rear tyre went last month and paid a grand total of $39 all in to get it and the tube replaced. Benefits of being in the land of smiles!

Where is that? (guessing near 2Us)
As for here (Alabama), you can't even buy a decent cup holder for $39

No, that's crappy. Maybe I could drill a hole here and put in an alarm light run it along the main wiring harness and hook it to the parking brake light?

Okay after a rear tire and rear brake job, 5000 mile valve check, air filter replacement, oil change, safety check (belt needed replacement), with discount on parts and labor and in addition discounted labor for the cost of the belt which was ordered Saturday, was guaranteed to be there Wednesday, didn't come till Friday. I got away paying $526.00 for everything.

They did loose a screw to the belt cover, and replaced it, but as I was driving off there was a strange noise. I turned the bike around before I left an parked it, When I did, the missing screw fell to the ground. I hope it wasn't in the belt case. Where ever it as it was hot when I got the service manager to come look at it. He made the mistake of picking up the screw. "OUCH that's hot!" were his words when he dropped it. He checked it out, then drove it and came back and said its fine.

I took it on the interstate, did 65 easy, got home and gave it a good going over to shine it up and clean all the road dirt off. The underside and wheel wells and rims and metal and plastics have been cleaned till no dirt came of. I went through a role and a half of paper towels and a can of waterless motorcycle plastics wash and wax.

Boy, you must be a little rough on your bike. When we had our 5K service we didn't need a belt or brakes. In fact, we did our own 5K service and it came out much, much, much cheaper. We are almost at 7500 miles now, so we will have to deal with that cost, but I still don't think the belt or brakes will need replacing.

Great looking and very clean bike! I forgot about the wax stuff, when I get my new one it may be wise to give it a wax before the stones and such start doing their worse.

Parking brake only fitted to North American market PCX.
The rest of the world knows how to park properly.

From day one I had the feeling that the PCX parking brake wasn't even connected to anything. On or off didn't seem to make a difference, so I never even thought about using it. The Forza parking brake is rock solid and comes in real handy when parking on a steep hill. Even without the indicator on the dash, there is no way you are going anywhere with the parking brake engaged.

I thought so too for a year. The. I read on here to adjust the brake cable for the rear drum. Set it to where the wheel spins freely, but the tiniest movement of the level will engage the rear brake.

After that, parking brake will function properly. Can't even move with the parking brake applied. I use it all the time now, as theft deterrent. As ony a few motorcycles even have one.

I wonder if one of those 'grip lock' type things will achieve the same thing on non parking brake bikes - I'm getting one as part of my bike security, along with disc brake and chain!
