Spring is about inch and a half,it was by luck a random spring sitting in drawer that while ago i thought this could come in handy so i saved it...Spring can be longer, it wouldn't matter if it is..

I made one. I only used one spring though as that was enough. I used a bit of galvanised tin plate bent to shape, a spring I had lying about a work and a bolt and a couple of nuts.
It works great. No buggering about at the filling station now.
