Bought a Honda Topbox and mount from a member on clubpcx on EBAY for $90. I got a great deal. This topbox is the OEM Honda box. Its 26L and holds my size L HJC helmet just fine with a little room to spare. I like this one because it doesnt have that fugly fake taillight on it. (although I have recently been told that some of them are not fake, i've just never seen one light up EVER) I think it looks great! So nice to have the extra space! Also, if you are considering getting one, don't overload it! 10lbs is the max weight. Ask Dave (maddiedog) what happens when you do =]

I busted a topcase on a scooter I used to own by loading it with textbooks... I hit a pothole, and the whole bottom of it cracked open, sending books everywhere.

Mine has a maximum capacity of 10lbs as well (my stuff probably weighs closer to 15lbs) and mine's the E340 ("Fugly" 34litre one ). But... mine is going to shortly have a working light in it!

I've driven behind mine while my Fiancee wanted me to follow her when she was learning how to ride it. In my opinion you can see the light just fine... Reflective tape is all you need if you're worried. And I got this for a killer deal
I've been driving with top boxes for many years and never anything has happened with them. I'm sure you can overload them a little bit but some boxes have a 3 kg limit and when you load them with heavy stuff like textbooks or beer it's just asking for problems.
Most top boxes and racks are designed to not block your taillight. So an extra light in de top box is not really necessary.
I bought the Honda rack (no drilling holes as opposed to Givi but expensive) with plate for the top box. The dealer said it is made by Givi so you can put any Givi case on it. You're not limited to the 26L Honda top box. I haven't received it yet.
Thats cool. So far the box has been big enough, but good to know I have that option. The honda box actually has a 1kg limit... (2.2 lbs) I usually abide to that rule when riding, but will load it up when parked..
I spent a boat load buying Honda OEM luggage for my vfr1200 - the top box is rather small actually and it would lend itself well to the pcx if I could only figure out how to get it mounted, I just need a second oem plate plate and perhaps a fitment kit. The color even matches. Problem is I cant seem to source just the mounting plate?
Luckily, the Givi universal mounting plate is identical to the Honda plate, and the parts did not change between model years. You should note that mounting will involve drilling into the rear passenger handle cover...
That top box looks like a monokey box which has a different mounting plate to the cheaper monolock box's.
Monolock box's are for smaller bikes and scooters with a max load of 3KG.
The monokey box's have a limit of around 10KG and use a more substantial mounting kit.
The official consensus from that page is that you can't mount monokey cases on a monolock plate, but like I said before, I've seen it done, one of the guys I ride with locally shares a monokey case between his SV650 and his Vespa.

With the help of a friend from the Netherlands I was able to source the correct vfr topbox baseplate. I married that to the standard OEM base plate and now I have a vfr1200 topbox I can swap out between bikes. The paint is almost the same but not quite, you have to be really looking at it to tell the difference.
I've wondered the same thing. The topbox is only rated for a few pounds but they put a backrest on them as if it's safe to lean against, doesn't make sense to me. I know common sense tells you it's not meant to lean back on like a normal sissy bar, but it seems like the slightest lean back by a passenger would well exceed the rated weight.
