Random spots on right side panel plastic are melting!

To me, it looks like something hitting the panel when you're riding the scooter. It could be something that you wear. Is there anything that might catch wind and strike wildly at that spot randomly? Likely culprits are straps and ribbons dancing in the breeze created by the scooter in motion.

Yes I'm incline to think someone (maybe not him) steps through when mounting the bike. Good reason to throw you leg over the tail rather then step through. Time to investigate some family members footwear.
