Givi AF1123 Installed this morning

2. Great Quality
3. Photos show highest and lowest screen position
4. Haven't ridden yet
5. See photo showing handle bar turned to lock, plenty of clearance
6. Looks like great hand protection
7. I like the look but it's certainly not as clean as the non-adjustable screens

Nice job! Wish they made an adjustable one for the PCX.

BTW, maybe I'll see you out on PA32 along the Delaware some day! I come from the NJ side, but love to cross over and ride between Frenchtown and New Hope!

There's a good chance of that, I plan on spending a lot of time this summer along there.

Can't tell for sure, but it appears (to me) that this Givi screen stands straighter than the Honda version.

It appears that way to me also - seems very upright compared to others, but that's not a side by side, just an impression.

Quick Riding Impressions:

1. Even in it's lowest position, it directs the air to the very top of my helmet.
2. I raised it by .75" and the air went clear over my head.
3. I can see comfortably over the screen in that position (I'm 6'2")
4. Acceleration up to 45-50 mph feels very different without that wind on my chest.

I was thinking the same thing...BUT now he added the Givi V47 Tech box on the back and it really compliments the looks.
I was thinking about the D1123, but now reconsidering.
After a couple tanks full of fuel, how about an update pawineguy?
I would be interested in knowing if it vibrates at highway speed? Does it impact mpg very much?
What about the hand protection? Any other observations....

My sincerest apologies Larry. I will not give any more updates. The good news is I think you're going to enjoy both of them, especially with the amount you ride. I love pulling up to a stop light, flipping up the tabs and raising or lowering the windscreen in a few seconds time.

Good post on the Air Flo AF1123. I have the D1123ST on my Forza and frankly it's too tall. I can't see over it without really stetching, and then just straight ahead, (not looking down) . I can lean my head slightly to the side and see around the left edge. Does a great job of protecting the hands, deflecting air, and doesn't cause buffeting from side winds (up to 30 mph gusts) , or vehicles at 60+ mph. My Forza doesn't viberate so looking through it works unless you were caught in a rain. Now I'm 71 years old stand 5" 11" and am long from the waist up (short legs). Have ridden various Honda cycles for 40+ years but my first scooter and I do like it. Had not ridden for several years and decided to go this way since my trips are mixed riding and probably will ride 2-300 miles at times. This scooter seems able to handle that easy, just wish it had better back suspension on the rear for rough oil and chip roads. I am currently trying to find a dealer in U.S. that sells the AF1123. Believe that is the better way than the D1123ST for most riders unless they are TALL. Just thought I would share and do like the pics.

Larry thanks for the information. Have one on the way now. I was stationed in Montgomery at Maxwell in 1963, started riding there on a 50cc Honda. Went the back roads and really liked the people, (much like home in So. Il.). I went through all the bikes as Honda increased the CCs and while in Fla. in early 69 owned one of only 5, 750 4s in the state, (rest were owned by Honda salesmen). That one changed motorcycles forever. Rode until the 90s and quit. Decided to go back and went scooter. Learning the difference but love this Forza. Almost bought a Silverwing but think I'm better off with the Forza, since most of my riding is local through hills etc., but know I could ride the Forza 2-400 miles and still walk. Haaa Have no plans to ride two up so it's enough. Have a Givi trunk which I can easily take off if I want, or use for an overnight trip. Older retired guys still need to have fun. Notice I didn't say OLD GUYS. Haaaa Again Thanks, I did order from them.

Update:
I did a 360 mile test. Givi AF1123 is quieter but there is a constant swirl of wind around you regardless of speed. Caught myself accelerating to higher speeds several times without realizing it due to the reduced wind noise. Under 60 mph US was still about the same with mpg, but over 60 (6k+ rpm) I'm getting about 2+ mpg improvement. I'll have to do more 60+ mph riding to see the actual rather than the indicated. The removable spoiler is great for cleaning bug residue. Flip the 2 latches and take the spoiler to your water source for easy cleaning. Bug splatter is bad between the spoiler and lower shield also. At highway speeds with 1/2 helmet I can hear the tires rolling on the pavement, but not with my modular helmet. There is a nice orange glow on the winglets(at night) that reflect from the turn indicators creating a nice HUD turn signal indicator. I wonder how a small reflective button/strip would look on the winglet to act as HUD during the day??? Probably won't do it, but it still made me think about it.
Also, if you break, scratch, or otherwise damage the spoiler, you can get just that replaced without having to purchase the complete AF shield again.
One of the guys on the Silverwing forum has lost his spoiler twice. Reason unknown, but I would be careful of raising it to the very top. Probably a good idea to keep a minimum 3/4 inch (20 cm?) on the bottom of the spoiler slides showing below the clamps.

Your update Givi AF1123 is excellent. I put mine on and rode about 30 miles . I think the winglets and top of the Airflow are narrower than the Givi D1123ST I had on. Think I have more air coming in from the side at 70 mph but it's softer, quieter, and more pulsing than the D1123ST . So soft and smooth I caught myself speeding without being aware, and it reminded me of riding a bigger motorcycle with a good fairing up front. I actually forgot I was on a scooter and a mid sized one at that, (flashed through my mind MOTORCYCLE. Honest ). Set 2 inches from the bottom, the air flow passed about the width of my hand above my helmet. Think I'm really going to enjoy this one. Larry keep updating as you ride and learn things,you are a good writer.
