A new member or a guest can't PM so if there's something they don't like they might not come back to the forum.

Well if they wanting to complain before posting perhaps it's inevitable.

Well, so far i have been happy with everyone that 'lives' on this forum. As long as we all think of others before we write things on this forum....and throughout life...everyone will get along better, and the world would be a better place. We can't change people. Only they can change themselves. All we can do is try to get along with each other.

@Mel46 - it's amazing how people can be so different from one another. I have a verity of friends. Some vegans that crab at me for eating animal products. Conservatives, liberals, gay and straight. I have a place in my hart for all of them. I guess I don't use this forum a whole lot for its technical content. What turned me on to this forum was the like minded people who have a scoot like mine. And who take photos and share their stories. I don't mind that we get off topic. Such as talking about air guns for an example. This is the first forum I participated in.

Thinking back on all my posts on this forum. Non should have been considered offensive to anyone. Not my intent. I just what to ride my scoot and enjoy life! Will have to possibly wait out the cold weather coming up though. :D

Ok lets move off guns and on to what else is offensive to most people outside the US. Please isn't there something we Americans tolerate from your neck of the woods? Surely Americans are secretly seething with hated for something equal to how much you dislike us. Lay it out on the table and lets sort this out like people who want to make this work.

Really what else, I have no problem never showing or mentioning a gun again in this forum but I suspect there is more to it than just registered firearms. Since the internet showed the world who we are and how we live there has been nothing but trouble and I've lived long enough to see this to be the case. What do you want from the USA, we freely give to every catastrophe world wide until our countries borrowing to give more. We drive the entire worlds economy buying goods and services so you have employment, why would you bite the hand that feeds? We are suckers for any country held in the grips of tyranny and will give with the lives of our sons and daughters for democracy only watch in disbelief time and time again the freed do nothing to take it from there.

It might end people, we may be having enough backlash. My son won't serve and is the first in my family's long line that won't join and fight under the current administration or any like it. America will adjust and perhaps just watch the would burn from our loungers if there is no appreciation. Get your beef out on the table and lets hear it so we all understand each other and maybe just maybe we can have a good time without pissing off the owner of this site. I still don't see any PM's and this makes me wonder if there is no complaints being registered to admin and that will draw its own conclusion.

I think you would be surprised how many people actually like the Americans. I have spent many years working in arabic countries and have been surprised the high regard many have for America.
Europeans like to think Americans are not so sophisticated as themselves but inside are envious of Americas success.
Personally I know the world would be a worse place if the American establishment were different.

I think what maddiedog started this thread with was good enough on it's own and should have been locked down at that stage with a 'must read' at next login (can't remember if that was the case). Indeed perhaps it should be a sticky or such and part of the sign up process - assuming it hasn't been added already.

Getting a little political now. Might want to watch it! ;)

My going out to dinner attire has no political content in my mind. Unless someone wants to dream up something. I like where I live and the way I'm made. :D

With all of this back and forth going on, has anyone remembered why Dave started this thread? It is easy to offend people. It is much harder to try not to. Everyone believes their viewpoint is valid. Try to think from someone else's point of view. It isn't easy but that is what we must do if we are to get along. As an example, there are some who do not like guns in any shape or form. Start a new thread if you want a discussion on guns. Some people have problems discussing religion. Either don't, or start a thread. My point is, if you start a thread you have a Header that states what it is about. Consider that so others will have a heads up about what is being discussed, instead of mixing issues. Please? ?

Mel that's great idea, rather than a header that draws by curiosity just put the possible offensive topic right up there.

Curiosity is a good thing, but there are some topics that we know will be questionable. Those are the ones that need their own thread. Not that you should even bring up certain topics, but within the relm of acceptable topics, let others decide if they even want to get into the discussion by putting the topic in the header. Even then, be kind to others and try not to offend. Remember that what you write on this forum is linked to the world and reflects on all of us, but especially Dave.

Way to go guys!

Great thread.

Dave/Maddie asks for calm - and we get a cross-Atlantic 'war' break out. :(

Not cool at all. (IMHO.)

I'll take this opportunity to wish ALL PCX'ers (whatever geographical location) a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2015.

Ride safe. :)

This is a really interesting forum. I never in my life got to see so many different perspectives coming from all over the planet.

Each to his own I say! After everyone threw their cards down on the table, I was surprised to see what I didn't see before in some of the members. But. Hay, we are a diverse group here.

I just hope we still can love each other for what our differences are and not let that wreck our fun in sharing our experiences, photos, and tips.

May Love and Peace prevail :D

Yes its time to say what we do like about each others countries... for example I like to watch video rides and pictures of scooters from members in the UK and for that matter anywhere I've never seen before.

Merry Christmas forum members! Sorry it's just not possible for me to say Happy Holidays, homie don't play that regardless of who it offends :D

Thanks guys, Merry Christmas to me. I get to clean up 3 pages of crap about firearms.

This thread is closed, and users have been warned.

If you need direct examples of unacceptable conduct, two members were kind enough to provide examples in this thread. If they mess up again soon, they're banned.
- GN2 was warned for this post: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3785#p52979 -- Note how he directly insulted anyone who disagreed with him. All posts before this one were completely acceptable, but off-topic.
- frog was warned for this post: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=17& ... =20#p53247 -- Note how this post is directly insulting to someone.

Other posts were acceptable in my opinion. Borderline in some cases, but none directly insult without adding to the conversation.
