Fitting the 08R70-K35-D00 Wind Shield
Looking for some help please?
My new wind shield has just arrived from the Honda dealer (08R70-K35-D00) with a bag of bits and no instructions
Has anyone fitted one of these before to a 2014 model?

Doesn't look like anyone has. There are only 4 bolts so should be fairly easy. The 2013 was a doddle to fit aftermarket screens to, just go for it.

All that is in the kit for the various bikes it fits. I can almost guarantee you will only need the 4 bolts and washers. Once the old one is off, you will be able to see what you really need to use. If you are worried, go back to the dealer and ask for instructions. Yer no that far away fae Aberdeen :-)

Although the part numbers are slightly different, I believe the mounting process will be the same.
I found this at Honda's website under PCX accessories. Now you can see IF you mounted yours correctly and print it if you want. Cheers! and please let us know how you like the Honda screen

Cheers White Noise......Very interesting indeed.
Ok, I got the fitting correct using the correct bolts, washers and nuts after a number of attempts. Although what I didn't do was move the mirrors. I have the mirror brackets and to be honest, had not idea what they were for......What is the reason for moving the mirrors???
I took her out for a 40 mile blast, the buffeting on the body has all but disappeared and I've got about about another 4 to 5 mph on the top end but the noise around the crash helmet has increased. I don't know if its because its quite a breezy day but I feel that the bike seems to be feeling the cross winds a lot more with the new screen on.

Looks good! I'm about to order one for mine.
Glad to hear how much it helps with both buffeting AND mpg!

Do the mirrors hit the screen on full lock?Aberdeen Scoot wrote:Cheers White Noise......Very interesting indeed.

Aberdeen where are ya? Any more opinions on the screen? Are your mirrors or brake levers hitting the screen when you turn the handlebar full left or right? That might be a concern. What say ye? Also whilst riding, are your eyes just above the screen or are you looking through it? Come back please

Hi,
I just put on on my 2015. You do use all the pieces in the kit. You are essentially putting the new brackets on the plastic shield first (with the windshield on a table or the floor), then when you have it upright, you have 4 bolt holes that line back up with the original 4 you started out with. The new brackets "lift" the windshield away from the scooter about 1'4" to 1/2" inch.
It turned out not to be as big a deal as it first looked when I started out.
