Hi, I've found this forum useful so I thought I would join. I got a new PCX in August. It is the old model, i.e. an exc2. I got this because it was £350 cheaper and I was already stretching my budget after originally looking at the Vision.

I bought it for a new job. The last time I rode a bike was a very long time ago when I had a moped at the age of 16. I'm enjoying riding it and I'm glad I got the PCX.

I've got a Bullster windscreen on it (smoked grey, 61cm), also a GIVI tunnel bag and sometimes I use an Oxford tail/helmet bag. I can provide more info on these for anyone interested. The windscreen was very easy to fit, seems to do the job, and I like the way it looks. The tunnel bag looks great, and take 2 seconds to attach. The tail bag is useful but takes a bit longer to put on, probably only about a minute though. It also makes it harder to get on and off the bike as I generally swing my leg over the seat. However it can be done. Getting off is trickier - I tend to swing the tunnel bag to the side, pick up my right leg and swing it through the tunnel. I need the side stand down to do this, which means turning the engine off.

Cool, I use my 2015 to work in Manchester quite often. Live about 20miles out though. Very interested in your tank bag over the fuel cap. Got any more information?

Yeah, it's a Givi EA105. I got mine off Amazon for £50. I leave the strap permanently under the seat, with the ends poking out about an inch on either side. These clip into short straps that come out of the base of the bag. This method is secure and quick.

I see you have an L plate fitted to your front fork, really interested where you got it from, I would have thought it would have hindered your steering but obviously not, mine is stuck to the front screen which I hate but was on there when I bought the scoot, nice bike by the way.

I see you have an L plate fitted to your front fork, really interested where you got it from, I would have thought it would have hindered your steering but obviously not, mine is stuck to the front screen which I hate but was on there when I bought the scoot, nice bike by the way.

Cheers willie, the L plate was put on by the dealer when I bought it. Not sure what they used to do it.

Regarding the screen, as I say it seems to work well. Bit hard to compare with having no screen, but I think it keeps me warmer, including my neck. I have no problems with it being tinted, as I look over it. The bottom section is solid black like the Honda but a bit higher, and then it is whatever colour you choose. I did think it was a bit noisy when I first got it, but I'm used to it now. I noticed a low-pitched rumble in my helmet which I guess is turbulence from the screen, as opposed to the straight wind you get without it.

SC30 and SC20

Didn't see these when I got mine. The GIVI EA105 I got is great, but I do wish it was a little bit bigger sometimes, as I don't use the tail bag if I can avoid it. I noticed just now that GIVI only claim this bag to be 15 litres, whereas the Amazon page stated 22. So I am half considering the SC30 if it is bigger and fits ok and is as easy to use and so on. I'm not convinced that bag manufacturers always get the sizes right, and Amazon descriptions are often wrong, so I dunno. The SC30 is claimed to be 24 l and does look taller so should be bigger. I have seen it here for a reduced price...

I splashed out and got the SC30 bag, it's very good. Quite a bit bigger than the GIVI, might even be too big for some people if you want to cary it around, but it sits nicely on the bike and is easy to put on and take off. I only use the strap under the seat method, which I leave in place like with the GIVI. I don't feel the need for the other attachments at all, the bag is actually more stable than the GIVI, due to being tighter fitting.

Hi, sorry for the slow reply, I live in Sale, originally from Wythenshawe. I got the bike for a job in Salford so I don't have to go too far, about 5 miles. How do you find living in the US?

I live in Bury and I also work in Salford. 8 mile commute each way and my PCX is perfect for it.

Question - with the tank bag and seat bag both on the bike - how on Earth do you get on/off the thing?

I just swing my leg over the seat, never had an issue with the area over the tank. I've done some work in Salford about a 20mile ride from my neck of the woods, in this weather, no thank you!

The pearl white / red plastics are one of the many options here in Thailand...

Also we get the 150cc here rather than the 125cc you get in the UK....

Looks ? - i think the box looks smart and it detaches with one easy click.....
