"Little Honda" PCX's little brother, the Click

Post by Beachboy »

I bought a Honda Click a couple of weeks ago. These are made here in Thailand and with the favorable conversion rate, it cost $1500. That's a deal. The Click has the same 125 the PCX started out with when they first came out. Combi braking and idle stop, it feels like it's just as fast as the PCX but it doesn't handle as well. It's a little squirrelly compared to the rock solid PCX.

I had some fun making this music video. You can see my beach community of Kamala Beach in Phuket Thailand.

I tried one when I was looking for a scooter, but went with the PCX primarily because at 6'1" the handle bars hit my knees when weaving in the tight traffic of BKK. I haven't regretted the purchase of the PCX even though it was considerably more. Realistically, the two bikes don't compare in my opinion. The Click is a neat little scooter, but I don't think it will hold up like the PCX.

8) What Fun Pete!! :P "You Got Me Hummin'" (that's a song by the way. Do you know what famous artist was in the band that sang it?)

I know a life long band member when I see/hear one :P When did it all begin for you?
I started in my mid teens. No more band days now but I'll never let go of the music or singing. Life's filled with song.
I (we/many) say "stop and smell the roses," yes indeed...but Also "stop and listen."

Thank you for bringing a smile to my face this Morning :P Keep on Groovin' 8)

P.S. Almost forgot! You're junior scoot looks like it rocks too! Have fun with it!
Oh! And I watched another vid that you took, I just Love the sound. What instrument is this?

I just wished it played on longer. Cheers

That Click looks like a very nice scooter for the money! BTW thanks for your first PCX vid Pete - it was one of the reviews that helped sell me on getting one - although the other one you did where you broke down and had to push it down the road almost scared me off :D

It looks like a Vision with some plastic stuck on (and a bigger engine).

As you know, the Click is the best selling farang (foreigner) bike in Thailand. The Thais like the less expensive Wave model.

As far as holding up, they're absolutely bulletproof at this point after being around for more than 10 years with lots of tweaks over the years. Anyone can fix them. It's a great bike for the money and really fun to drive.

I agree it doesn't really compare to the much more refined PCX. The PCX is a Cadillac compared to the VW bug Click. It's perfect for my wife.

I don't know what it's called. I was walking down Kamala Beach one day and this guy was playing this same mesmerising pattern, like it was in a loop. I walked 15 minutes down the beach and back and he was still playing the same exact loop. I could have videoed for an hour! I didn't want to disturb him but the next day I told him he could see it my Facebook/Kamalala page. He said he wasn't a drummer, had just found this instrument a couple of years ago and travels with it now (you can see the case).

I've been playing (guitar and keyboards) since I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan at 13. I love playing/creating in my home studio and occasionally performing. Thailand is strict about work permits.
