Huh. It is not really understandable for me this way, so I'll answer what I believe you wanted to ask.
In the manual the first oil change is due at 1000 km's, and 5he next one at 4000 and from there at every 4000.
As the pcx has no "real" interchangeable particle oil filter some suggest to make the first oil change even before 1000 km's and one again between the first and 4000. After all it takes a liter all together.

There have been many debates on this issue before on the forums - tho I understand the forum search engine does not accept 3 character searches like oil.
Honda specified 10w30, so I use Eneos 10w30 synthetic motorcycle oil.

You'll be better off with something that is not for motorcycle with wet clutch.

The oil change interval for the UK model is 600m/1000km and 5000m's/8000km's and then every 5000miles - not every 4000km's. Does it vary or are you miss-reading the general 2500mile inspection/service interval for oil too? No harm if you want to change it sooner, but not necessary with todays modern oils.

You're right.
The official interval is 8000kms. I still tend to change mine in 4-5 thousands every time when I do major inspection.
I do it as the PCX uses just a screen - not an effective oil filter. I'm using the scoot quite a lot in every type of condition (80% WOT, quite a lot of dirt roads etc) so I feel better to change it more frequently.

What would your filter filter that a screen wouldn't screen out of the two teaspoonfuls of oil in the sump?

I'm not sure anyone has found debris in the screen post the 1st 600mile or 1st check done - it seems to catch the initial metal chippings but after that the oil ages but not much debris gets produced as the bike ages, unless you do after market mods which may cause more crap to be deposited.

I change every 6-7 months, (don't care if I'm wasting oil)...it's so easy with a drain valve.

Of course. You need to waste more than your fair share. It's your birthright.

It's 4000 km/2500 miles OR 6 months, whichever comes first anyway. I'm scared of low mileage bikes for that reason, a majority of people never seem to take the time interval seriously. Oil is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs moisture. Oil in an engine can absorb moisture over time and that moisture can be a detriment to your engine. That's why they have the time portion of oil change intervals. It's a one measly litre of oil, that's cheap insurance.

Seems to be the same as sell by dates in the shops - for most products a means to waste food and get people to buy again. Oil may absorb some water and lose efficiency over time, but I bet for all those that change every 5000 miles and do not go over-board with servicing, their bikes run just as reliable as those that pay a dealer for every service, pay the extra £900/2yrs for that and their bikes do not last that much longer than those that do basic maintenance and use it all year round.
I've done between 7000-8000 miles now and just has 2 oil changes - not even changed the spark plug yet and use it all year round even during winter - starts 1st time, rides fine and gives great mpg - and I saved almost £900 in dealer fees (inc tax) over 2 yrs by doing basic servicing myself.
I will change the spark plug and air filter soon, but as the bike starts and rids perfectly I do not see a reason to fiddle just yet. I do check the oil but it's not losing that much (not had to top up in 4 months) and it's a very high quality full synthetic (Castrol Power Racing 4-stroke that Honda recommends and many dealers use)) so is one of the best oils out there so I'm not worried about it losing a bit of efficiency before the next change. It's a humble scooter not a racing machine.

The guidelines are just guidelines.

If you run your engine hot, by running it often at high speeds
or by riding when it's ridiculously hot out (that would be me),
you'll want to be careful to keep to the schedule (at a minimum)

And if you put the scooter up for the season or longer,
you should do the full winterizing thing, which probably involves an oil change.
