Adding Lights

Hi I am in the UK and thinking of getting a PCX and once getting it adding additional lights to front and rear so I can have flashing Amber warning lights front and rear but still have incidators it will be on a 2015 model. Any advice on the best place to mont they are small hideaways about 1 1/2" diameter.

You will need to check the regulations there before adding any flashing lights to your bike. We have a light in the rear of ours that goes back and forth while we are riding, then flashes when we hit the brake before going on steady. Your country may now allow that though, so make sure before doing anything. Check the front light requirements too. Additional driving lights may or may not be allowed.

Yes I allowed Amber flashing just not blue, green and red flashing lights

No you are not - even off-colour indicators that are too far from amber are strictly an MOT failure.

You can only have a steady white light to the front and a steady red light showing to the rear of your vehicle. The exceptions to this are: BLUE flashing from an emergency vehicle or flashing or constant from a police vehicle
Members of the public may not have blue flashing lights, regardless of whether they are connected, at all!

Flashing amber is only allowed for indicators, not running lights or brake lights - that is why it is illegal to be moving with hazard lights (both indicators flashing) if your vehicle is not broken down.

I would be using Amber for when going through road closures (when permitted/ told to) and when broken down or assisting a broken down vehicle as I was doing the other day

More to add visability to them so I can been seen further away

I'd consider to add led strips. I remember to see both white-amber and red-amber ones which can couple as additional position lights for increased visibility just like the ones on newer Audi and VW cars.

Fair enough. I'd just use LEDs and wire into the hazards then?
