Writing now from "Icy" Long Island.
It's frickin' frigid. Lips, eyelids, nostrils frozen. Scraping snow/ice off my truck. It's now that I want a Mini car (bug, smart car, or the like). Sand and nasty salt spread everywhere! I'm staying put today. Maybe Read a twisty story to Poor WN in the cold garage. I got me a space heater delivered yesterday from Home Depot, a Lasko Ceramic....Let's Get Cooking!

LOTS of rain this morning, 3 roads were flooded on the way to work today and my arse is wet despite having waterproofs on (damn you pcx hump!)
No sign of it letting up yet...

Raining on my way in earlier this morning, but at least it helps clean parts I don't clean (wheel rims, lower parts, etc). I just clean and dry the main bodywork once or twice a month.

Cleans it untill you get all the road grime and dirt on the bike and it gets in all the nooks and crannies you can't reach.
Next time it stops raining here i'm getting the pressure washer out and giving my bike a good going over!

I've seen a video of someone pressure washing and the blow drying the PCX - I wondered if that was good for it? In case water gets in where it shouldn't?

I would assume it's on as the bike would get in normal life, just don't spray it into the intake etc.... i'm tempted to clean it when it's running to see when it cuts out. lol

Just a word of caution. Be careful with pressure washer near the front wheel bearing I believe somebody reported a problem with taking off the front wheel due to rusty axle....culprit possibly pressure washer. Also re damp arse I have cheap plastic trousers over my supposed waterproof armoured trousers due to similar experience so far ok.

The Tri-state area, below it and above it is getting blasted with snow accompanied by snow thunder Huh? Never "heard" of snow thunder. WHAT? Florida has T H U N D E R. But, Snow and Thunder? Just odd.
We will more than likely break snowfall records with this dumping. Winds have picked up and are quickly turning to gusts of up to 50 mph. Dangerous conditions. Snowfall accumulations ranging from 2-3' with snowdrifts as high as 10' expected. Two full days of this! Pray we have power through it all. I'm thankful my Mom is in a Nursing Home that has a brand new gigantic Generator should their power fail. I would worry crazy right now if they couldn't provide electricity. Amen.

I saw a travel ban tonight and tomorrow for cars and trucks. Does that include scooters?

At the moment, we're getting slammed with snow, thunder and high winds. No one is permitted on the roads anywhere in New York! Serious Snow going on here. NYC streets are empty, no buses, trains, planes, subway...all transportation stopped, and all schools business' will be closed.
I believe this will be the ruling for Tomorrow as well (plow just went by for the umpteenth time).........
