So many cool pictures and links to history since I was last here!

Went on a little ride from Nanaimo to Victoria then Sooke and Port Renfrew. Then back to Nanaimo by way of Lake Cowichan and Duncan.

Stopped several times along the way to refuel me and the bike.

Passed my favorite tree that I have been watching grow from a seedling.

For the day I topped 400km and rolled the 60,000km mark.

MikeP: WOW that shot of the tree is absolutely stunning!!! Also, 60k! I need to step up my riding as my 2013 I bought in 2015 only has 10K. Hopefully next week will cool down some here. Cheers!

Too many people in the hospital;not keeping distance, some walking around without face mask, people coughing... glad I only had to spend 1 hour there for the consultation.
Good luck with your surgery.
It's done, it was a quick in and out as they really want to minimize the time people are in the hospital these days. So in at 08:00, back home by 15:00. It also seems I picked the right date, covid infections are on the rise again here so within a couple of weeks ill be able to say I had it done when the infection rate was at its 6 month lowest.

Surgeon said I should not be riding the scooter for at least two weeks. He said driving a car would be possible though... Do not really get the difference (maybe he rides as well and knows you have to be extra careful on two wheels) but it's not like I'm feeling up to it anyhow as everything still hurts like hell even though I am on these painkillers.
But - I'm positive and already looking forward when I can enjoy the freedom and happiness this little PCX is giving me ;) . Next trip I'll do with it is towards the sea (only 50km one way).

Good choice!

Give things time to heal though.

Just don't laugh too hard if somebody asks if you can help them move furniture . . .. o_O

Glad you are on the mend! I agree to rest for two weeks. Once you can ride, enjoy and share a picture or two!

Got out for a little ride to Campbell River. A bit wet, but good gear makes all the difference. Pictures are of a large beach in Comox. Next time I have to bring my real camera. So many eagles, just could not capture one with the iPhone. Rode 396km today, now at 60986km.

Stunning photos! I know what you mean about bringing your real camera. But looks like a beautiful place to ride.

The bull behind the rock makes me think of "Wall Street".

Nice pics and great place to ride indeed! :D

Rode after work yesterday for a couple of hours. Stopped in one spot to soothe my soul.

Took the scenic route home after work. Beautiful day, too nice to be working. Pictures are of the Nanaimo harbour from an old site of what once was the Nanaimo hospital, which became a home for the elderly. It was demolished a number of years back and now sits.

The islands in the horizon are Newcastle on the left, Protection Island in the center and Gabriola Island on the far right. The horizon is of mainland Vancouver.

The thing I like about Canada is I speak English but know enough French to buy food and ask for directions.

I haven't been there in a long time. Now I guess you need to have a passport to cross the border even if you are a U.S. citizen.

Great pics from the northern contingent! :D

I speak no French. My spouse speaks French but the only time I heard her use it was in Montreal when there was an issue with our hotel bill. I wasn't raised in Canada (upper prairies in the states) but of all the staff I've hired over the past 6 years only one did! However they all had it for years in primary school.
