if you were to use a 64mm piston you wouldnt have much metal left in the bore at all, using a 62mm slug you will still have 195cc and a much safer engine. you would of course have to use the yuminashi cylinder kit.

i assume you could but for what purpose? torque I imagine? If i remember correctly from engine theory, stroking keeps the same fuel economy because the quench area inside the combustion chamber is the same, increasing bore drops fuel economy. It would be interesting to know how much stroking the engine would increase power...

Stock 125 with 170cc,long stroke crank with intake valve increased to 29mm size from 27mm, 31mm throttle body, and up rated valve springs, all yumi gear except 170cc kit, that was Takegawa although with modded piston to work with long stroke crank puts out 19hp at the wheel.....

My fuel economy keeps improving,im down to 2.7l/100km. I wonder if it has anything to do with Yuminashi valve springs i got installed recently. My top end power past 8000rpm is awesome all the way to the limiter. Its a good upgrade for the Pcx engine.

Tire wear? My fuel economy kept improving with the original tire almost bald in the middle until I replaced the rear tire and then it went back down over 5% with a new City Grip.Pcxdemon wrote:My fuel economy keeps improving

I got Kitaco gear up, Daytona vario,AdvancePro outer pulley. With rollers i get 132kmh and with sliders same weight as rollers it gets to 138kmh.waspmike wrote:Stock gearing? New tires, i just put it down to the really well tuned transmission and big engine power for its size as i only need 1/4 throttle to get moving quick so it doesn't really work that hard...sendler2112 wrote:Tire wear? Its without any fi modules. Its only got larger injector...You can see on full throttle runs real nice afr at 12.something while just cruising steady throttle keeps shuffling between 13. to 15-16 afr values,mainly 14.7 range average..Mgalutia88 wrote:Is this with or without the ficon2 active?

Good to know,thanks Mike. Yuminashi makes one as well,you can tune while riding,has two knobs,one adjusts fuel up to 62mph and the other one is after 62mph... Does Dobeck have rev limiter removed? Nah. Just fuel tweaking. I always wondered if the old 125 had HP limiting not simple RPM as it sort of dies rather than stutter on the limiter.

There are three types of rev limiters that I know of. Pulling timing, pulling spark and pulling fuel.

Do floating valves also limit RPM? That might be what is happening.
