Man, you guys ran this poor guy all over the neighborhood. .....missing the most likely fix. New little plastic brake light switch seemed pretty obvious.
Happens to scoots frequently.

More (in this case) is better - gaw head, "Show" him "the part" fish.

WooHoo.
It didn't work, but i tested another light bulb just in case and it worked.
Thanks so much for your help everybody.
It was the switch.

I noticed today that my brake light is not functioning - I generally have a look around to check all lights are functioning as they should every other day or so.
Replaced switches about a month ago.
I get the feeling it's a fuse or a loose connection somewhere (lots of bumpy roads in Vietnam).
Off to Honda tomorrow..
Edit: I looked in the rear brake housing - one filament in the bulb is shot. Should be a cheap-as-chips fix.
