By the way the CB500X mainstand is AUS$145 whereas the Vstrom mainstand I was quoted AUS$450 which is robbery! And the Vstrom dealer quoted labor to install that and a topbox, no labor charge for Honda. So the Honda ended up thousands cheaper than the Vstrom. Sorry Forza was never a contender ;). And reviews Ive read is that the CB500X is brilliant in cross winds which is what I want.

My PCX must know its about to be traded in. Its always behaved itself for 2.5 years but this morning on my commute there was a big traffic jam due fog so eventually the idle stop cut out and wouldnt restart. Had to do a one hour walk home and get the cage and jump start it using jumper leads! I checked the voltage before jump starting and it was 12.2v so not too flat. Left the battery on my charger the rest of today. Am switching off the idle stop till the trade in!

nb I sold the Ermax screen already to a local guy in our scooter club.

One more observation on my PCX with stock screen on again after taking off the ermax +25. It handles cross winds way better than when having the tall screen on!

I noticed that when i fitted my +25, very unstable in high crosswinds but still worth it overall. my acceleration improved with the ermax did you notice any changes?

I think my top speed increased a tad. And bike felt bigger. Also I got more nods and waves from other bikers with the big windscreen on as from the front it looks bigger ;)
