I've never even heard of an anorak before. Not a term we use in the USA I guess.
Is it possible you have a bad bearing, bent rotor, or a misadjusted rear brake that's dragging?

Anorak is the preferred garb of the lowest form of lfe, the traiin spotter.
These clowns hang around railway stations for days at a time getting in the way so they can jot down the numbers of trains.
Some of them even film the trains arriving and departing.
Sad bastards.

logepoge,
The main thing in reference here is the aerodynamic drag of loose/bulky clothing, however small it is, still has an impact.

Ah. I'll see what my mileage looks like at next fillup and see if the tires made difference. Sure rides differently

I have 2 riding jackets. One is perforated and the other isn't and feels like a sail in the wind! Yes, keep an eye on those tire pressures! I run mine a bit higher than the recommended. Mid to upper 30's psi. If you have an aftermarket trans modifications, windscreens, those can also be the culprit. I got 73mpg on my last tank which was WOT on the freeway for about 70 miles with my wife on the back the entire time. Expect to get mid 80's riding solo on this next tank.

In the UK, the term 'Anorak' is generally used in a derogatory manner.
As gn2 posted above, it started with trainspotters - but has broadened a bit to mean/suggest: geeks, nerds, dorks and anally retentive types.
