Since we are all armed where I live (conceal carry). They are quite a bit less likely to die for something like a scooter. It has had a cooling effect on all crime and car jacking's. On the negative our cops are a bit more jumpy.

The ends of the wiring harnesses are typically called terminal connectors. The white things are plugs and they are denoted by the number of pins i.e. 2P, 6P, etc.. So Ignition Switch 2P Connector. I just bought a huge bag of wiring harness connectors on EBay to use for tapping in for lights and stuff.

I bought the large pack. He has smaller sets for under $10 US. Although he ships internationally you might find it cheaper locally.

If it makes you feel any better i had my PCX stolen on new years eve while i was out working a 12hr night shift. Not pleased. Luckily mine was returned by the police without a single scratch. Now i'm looking into security systems for it.

Sorry to hear that, glad you got it back un-harmed. How did they steal it without marks - just roll it away and not ride it? (otherwise I thought they would need to break the plastic/key area).

Yep, i forgot to put the steering lock on... and i'm guessing drunks decided it would be a fun ride down the road :-/ It was found laying on its side on some grass.

You could. Or park it in a well light area with a lot of passers by?

Thanks Secoda! Is it the 2 pin connectors I need?

Are these easy to attach to the two wires that they hit wired?

I am a complete novice at this kind of thing! Sorry

Police retrieved mine in an alley way a few days later.

Seat ripped off, side panel ripped off and hot wired ignition cable and broke the steering wheel lock( ignition barrel)

I posted a picture wiring a 6P plug when I added the AdMore Lighting kit to my Givi V47 case in another thread. It is near the end. I always solder the wires to the pins but it is easy really easy once you see how the pins snap into the plug. I wired a home-built airplane loaded with electronics and this is child's play by comparison.

Start about here and look at the picture going down.

mckrod - I have the 2013 PCX 150 US version manual so hopefully the wiring is the same for your 2011 PCX 125. I can take pictures of what it is in the manual and post them. What colors are the wires? (they may be multi-color)

Perhaps some of the better, not cheap, GPS boxes are a good thing. For £40-60 you can get one that will work from internal battery for 6 months turning on every 30 mins or so to send a text, or only turn fully on when it detects movement, tilt or going above a set speed. Magnetic fixing or wired in to bike's power feed as a permanent install (with remote disabling too, as can be wired into electrics to the pump(s)). At least if your bikes stolen, you can probably find it if stolen by thrill seekers, and it may reduce your premiums if you have it wired in under the panels. A good one seems to be:

They didn't start it, they just rolled it down the hill. and sadly where i live there are no busy places (live in a cul-de-sac) although it was parked underneath streetlights (that get turned off over night)

Just scouting the internet, as this happened to me last night, they didnt get the key part open on the ignition, they have broken/disengaged the steering lock however (of someone could advise how?).

Any ideas on what to repair, literally the damage is in the exact same place and tried to connect two cables together. They only got it 200 yards away before they seemed to give up, and the police found it and brought it back.

Can put some pictures up later if people need, apologies for reviving a potentially old topic, just need help!

Cheers
