The thing about the spark plug is true to a certain extent, but normally if it's that critical the spark plugs have a copper washer on them instead of a crushable one. If the plug was removed then refitted with a crushable washer the the torque would have to change to keep the electrode at the same angle. Engines with a very lean burn, normally direct injection engines have to be torqued for this reason as the electrode must be in the path of the spray pattern of the injector otherwise the combustion may not occur properly giving poor running.
If the injector sprays into the intake manifold the the fuel and air is mixed before it reached the combustion chamber so it doesn't make much difference what angle the plug electrode is at.
