looking good Mike. Thanks for sharing the pics too.
The extra red of the light/accent panels aren't too much either.
pwg expressed concern about the extra red on our bright red skuts.
I like the looks of both. The V47 kinda flows with the Forza.

Thanks Larry,
I really like both GIVI D1123ST Shield and GIVI V47 Case. They look real nice on the scooter.
The windshield really makes a difference, no more wind pounding on my chest and head. Just a smooth ride.
The GIVI V47 was purchased because I need a case big enough for my Nolan N104 Helmet, since it does not fit under the seat. The extra Red on the back lights looks cool.
I have a GIVI V46 on my Suzuki Burgman 650 which I also really like. GIVI makes Quality Accessories.

Mike,
Can you give a comparative review between the Burg 650 and the Forza?

Comparatively the Suzuki Burg 650 should not be compared with the Honda Forza.
The Burg 650 could be compared with the Honda Silver wing 600. (Burg 650 Wins hands down)
The Forza is a smaller, lighter scooter, great for commuting and an occasional 200-300 mile trip.
In my opinion,
The Burg 650 is the BEST mega scooter made to date.
Better for touring, long cruises. It is a Fantastic and comfortable scooter.
I would not hesitate to get on my Burg 650 and travel from California to New Jersey and back again.
I would not do this on the Honda Forza.
I bought the Honda Forza 300 because of it's looks and MPG. I also really like Honda in general.
My Burg 650 is a 2005, and I have 15,000 miles on it. I really wanted to buy a 2013 Burg 650 Exec, but at $11,000 plus dealer freight, taxes and others, I would be spending over 12K. No way. I bought my Burg 650 new in 2005 for $6500.00.
The Honda Forza is a great deal at $6000.00 and is perfect for me to commute back a forth to work, and an occasional weekend cruise.
I'm sorry I could not compare the two for you, but I hope I have given enough reasons why they should not be compared directly.

Mike,
Not just your opinion. It is best big scoot for now. If Suzuki had a shaft drive on it, then it would be a huge seller as a touring machine. It is like a Goldwing for people that can't afford the actual wing or that can't handle the big weight. Yes, I've had them both and speak from experience and lots of miles on them coast to coast. It is $$ but worth it.
And off topic we go!!!!

Besides the several hundred various Motorcycles and Trikes I've owned over the years, I've owned Burgman 650s, 400s, Honda Silver Wing 600s, Reflex 250s, etc., etc. ......the Honda Forza 300 is, in my opinion, the Best Maxi-Scooter to date. I'm not a short Trip Person. My Forza was ridden 515 miles last Saturday, and 548 miles yesterday. If one of my Burgman 650s, and one of my Silver Wing 600s (which I've always preferred the Silver Wing over the Burgman) were still in my Garage, and I was planning to do a two week plus Trip out west, I would still roll out the Forza 300. It will be doing this Trip later this year, by the way...the Forza is more comfortable, handles better, stops better, lower center of gravity, plenty of storage, and gets much better gas mileage. If You look at Specs, there's very little difference in wheelbase, tire size etc. between a Silver Wing 600 and the Forza......Right now, the Forza is "KING OF THE MAXI-SCOOTS".....

One thing to keep in mind.
The Suzuki Burg 650 has more Power, more Leg space compared to the Honda Forza.
I know I would not be as comfortable riding the Forza cross country. But I know the Forza could do this trip without a problem. It might have a problem passing cars on the freeways going 80+ mph though. I guess it all depends on the Size and Weight of the Rider. I would be more cramped riding the Honda Forza on a trip this long.
Everyone will have their own opinion, and this is great. I am glad to hear your point of view.

Hi Pawineguy, I used to live in Bucks County, PA, Morrisville, PA for about 8 years.
I move out west all the way to CA because of my job.
I absolutely loved PA and the great roads there to ride.

While my total stable count is only 27 bikes(not several hundred) in 46 years and NO trikes, I love my Forza, but the Burgman was like a light weight Goldwing for me. Coast to coast on 7 Wings, the Burg 650, and VTX's, VT, Valk,....The Silverwing was the most fun to me thus far. The Burgman was the most comfortable 1 up, and the Wings were perfect 2-up. Forza only has 4k miles since Dec, but I intend to do the same again with the Forza. My plans have been delayed until August due to scheduling with my riding partner (my brother).
If every rider had the same requirements, we would only have one model bike being manufactured.

Yes, Bucks is a great place to live and ride - If I was starting in Morrisville I would never get any work done, I'd be running up and down the river all day. At least now you don't get rained out of too many rides.

I should add that I am in Bucks also, Jamison (Warwick Township) right next to Doylestown. Great rides heading over to the river, up into Northern Bucks, etc...

You are right about no rain, once summer starts, no rain till winter, great riding all summer, and most of winter also. 12 month per year. My bike are not stored, but used all year.

pawineguy, Your Forza's looking great with that Givi screen & yes, adding the mirror extensions seems to balance the "look" of the bike. I bet "it will" provide better rear/side sightings for you (important!) This Forza is like a dangling lollipop in me face, or an ice cream cone! When the new White 2015 PCX hits our U.S. stores, I'm going to be sure to compare both Scoots with the likings of moi! And if by chance they bring Forza in "White?" Oh my! Then what shall I do?

I tend to agree with you now, on two points, since I have been riding the Forza more. It does brake better, and does get better gas mileage. But the comfort and storage is still better on the Burgman 650.

Hello Mike,
Would you recommend this windshield over the Honda's factory tall shield ?
Thanks
Zoltan

Hi Zoltan,
Yes I would recommend the GIVI shield over the OEM Honda shield.
It provides more protection than the Honda shield. It is a solid shield.
One thing to keep in mind though, the GIVI is higher and depending on your height, you will be looking through it instead of over it.
