Re: Project Legroom Complete!!
A squillion dollars says the Forza 2016/17/whatever will have the same seat design as the 2015 PCX.
In all honesty it's refreshing to see a company like Honda listen to it's customers. My favourite car and scooter (motorbike is a different matter) manufacturer of all time and for good reason. They don't reinvent the wheel, just grease it a bit and make it stronger.
Great achievement and a win win for us lot and the manufacturer.
Beers!

GREAT Job.....
...at 5'7", and a 31" inseam, the Forza 300 fits me perfectly in stock form, but it's easy to see this will cure a major issue for tall riders....!!!!!

Ridin' and Socializin' the Southeastern USA on a 2014 Honda FORZA 300 Scooter...45+ years of Riding averaging 30,000 miles per year...!!!

That's a really nice looking job.I really like the French Stitching.pawineguy wrote:...This was an expensive project, but only because I used very high quality leather and french seams.
I think that a seat re-upholster job is THE best improvement that you can make to the Forza.
I have also had mine done:
The bike is now much more comfortable to ride. My seat also has a few extra inches of seat height.

Re: Project Legroom Complete!!
I thought I would add a few more photos to show some of the detail of the new seat.

I live in Australia and the work was done by MJM in Goulburn if there are any Australian Forza owners interested.

Peter

Re: Project Legroom Complete!!
I think we need to add height to the profiles. How tall are you folks doing the re-do's? I am 5' 11" and seem comfortable but i rarely ride for more than a few hours w/o a break. I think much taller would be an issue. My windshield may need trimming if i move back much.
Re: Project Legroom Complete!!
Mailed in a survey I rec'd from Honda today.
One question they asked is, "what one thing would I improve on the Forza ?" - my answer was to remove the seat hump.
Also gave the same response to an earlier email survey from Honda.
Re. the seat - one item I'm still working on is adding a lift rod that actually holds the seat up in the open position. Lots of these for sale out there, with various mounting methods.
I rebuilt the famously lousy seat on my LIKE200i - adding maybe 3" to the seat height (I'm 6'3" - so no worries about getting feet flat on road at a stop) - and have never looked back. It is SO comfortable....but this Forza is too nice a scooter to be doing home-made ulpholstery work on.
