Great ride report! I came across this from a link on the ADV scoot forum, so sorry if I'm late to the party.

We used to live in the Black Hills, home to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, where the number of bikes is generally over a half million... quite an impact!

I was not "scooter aware" back then; always had big bikes (HD, GW, or BMWs). The scoot is certainly one way to stand out in the crowd!

Yep, it's nice to have individualism, and a scooter did stand out there in that menagerie. But sometimes, it's also nice to converse with those that 'Grok' both sides of a conversation...!
