The Filter Bolt wont come off, it's way too tight, tried a 17mm Socket and Wretch but it wont budge at all, sprayed WD40 around it all but still nothing!

i would like to ask if you were to flip the dip stick over from the overfilled looking side to the other side that you are not showing what level oil does that show you??, i was running into the same question about the bike seemingly being overfull with oil..........if you really pay attention to the position of the stick when you pull it out the side on the bottom will show that the bike is over filled but then if you look at the other side it will show that the bike is spot on........i had the 8/10ths in and could not understand if i had the right amount in why was it overfull.......then i looked at the other side of the stick witch was the side that would be closest to the top of oil and it was on the mark.........the cap was not screwed in.......jojo87 wrote:I screwed it in, I haven't touched the Oil at all since getting the Bike,
and I doubt they would of done anything with it on the first Service?
so i'm guessing it's the same oil etc from when the Bike was bought new
(June 2013)
Will do it now without screwing......
here are 2 photos I took,
took it out, wiped, put it back in without screwing, then back out,
seemed high so did it again, and cleaned any other Oil from around the Bike etc:
But again, I haven't touched the Oil,
and it's only had 1 Service done,
which was done late at around 1500 miles,
nothing else.
Oh, this was with the Bike cold as well,
went out earlier but it's cooled now,
shall I let it run for a bit and then do it?
No, clean it next oil changejojo87 wrote:Would it matter if the Filter wasnt cleaned yet?
as I had to put the new fresh Oil in as needed to use the Bike,
but couldnt get the Filter bolt off,
obv taking it off now the Oil will come out,
so was going to leave the Filter as it is (however it is)
until I change the Oil next,
or shall I drain the fresh Oil and 100% clean the Filter?
again its a 2013 Bike, about 4300 Miles,
only 1 Service, so not sure what the Filter would be like.
