isn't that a good reason to leave the 'kill' feature? Better be safe than sorry.

Yes, it is, and it's a really good safety feature

Perhaps in the PCX, which starts so seamlessly, I will try to leave the system engaged, to see if I get used to it...

Hi, I left my keys in my ignition for an hour and a half the other day and the battery went flat as the headlights were left on. I then connected it to my car with jump leads and although the lights are coming when you press the ignition button (with break clutched and kick stand up) there is no response what so ever.

Could I have possibly killed the battery when I connected it to my car, I've read on here that you're not supposed to have the car running, only switched on..?

There is no clicking or any sound whatsoever when I press the button .

Check the Kill switch.

Its the red switch on the right handlebar, above the start switch.

Unfortunately my scooter doesn't have one.. (There anyway)

Yikes! My Canadian model does!
To my knowledge all bikes have a kill switch. Reason being if there is an accident and the bike is still running, its a simple way to shut off the engine.
Do you have a manual handy, there must be a kill switch.
Buy the way where are you located?

Will have a dig around for the manual, but I think I might need a new battery/ need to remove the battery and charge it over night?

I use a battery tender to charge my battery. No need to remove to charge it.

But I cant help thinking there is a kill switch somewhere. Your symptoms are the same as when I accidentally hit mine and try to start the bike. Good luck Friend please keep me posted. I might learn something.

Did you have the side stand down when you tried to start, it's been done before.
No kill switch on UK models, stop/go only.

Nope, kick stand up. Think I must have ruined the battery.
