Well I start riding usually around May and hang it up around Oct/Nov. I'd say the temps range between 40+ degrees in the morning (spring/fall months) to 100 degree highs in dead summer. Mornings in the Summer are usually above 60

Forums make interesting reads....
However, I always go with what the owner's manual says.
There are other Honda oils in the isle of my dealer....but I buy only the specific label and weight Honda oil specified in my owner's manual.
I don't ask at the parts desk, or the service desk, or the gals in the too-tight jeans to help me. I buy per the manual.
You cannot go wrong with that.

Ding, ding, ding...
We have a winner folks!
This is THE correct answer.

Use what the manual says.
If it says 10w30 then use 10w30
MA or MB makes no odds whatsoever for a PCX or Forza engine.
Also, change it at the specified interval of 5000 miles for PCX, 8000 miles for Forza.
Changing it more often is simply throwing away perfectly good oil.

But gn2 , you wouldn't change the oil prior to 5000 miles if it were Coal black ?. I'm well aware the base doesn't go bad but the additive sure does......

Change around 5000 miles, there will be a huge safety margin associated with this recommendation from Honda. Remember this scooter is sold around the world, often in places where standards are nothing like the USA.

Some bikes turn oil black quickly. Some oils turn dark more quickly. It is not an issue. The oil is doing its job.

5000 miles is a long interval for a small engine running high RPM. I would do that in a commuter car, but not in a scooter. On my motorcycle, I change the oil twice as often as the manual indicates, and change the filter every-other change. Costs very little.

PCX has a screen, not a filter. And 5k miles does seem a little long when I run it 9k+ rpm 70% of the time. Maybe 2k-3k miles with 10w30
