SECoda, I know! Sales tax is plum crazy here! Your rate is great! Florida was good to me too at 6%, especially when I bought the big ticket items.
Funny, just twenty minutes ago Raymour and Flanigan were here delivering an entertainment cabinet. The sale price was great until those extra charges got on board: tax, and then

Wait for it,......the $110.00 delivery charge! Hel-lo? They're just 45 mins away? Two guys were in and out my door in two minutes! Not kidding! They said they were off to iHOP. Oh, okay. Happy for ya! Yum! Why not have Steak? .... on Me?
Sales tax sometimes puts us over the top and breaks the deal on buying an item we sooo want. Sad.
Ahh....but Not today

Today I have a rock in' cabinet housing music gaming and tv. Not so chin zee.
So SECoda, when it's time for me to buy a 4 wheeler again, I think I'll visit your part of town!

Keep in mind, though, as one wag put it, completion of the MSF course only means that you can operate a motorcycle in a parking lot. Out on the road is much different. Take it slow, and ride with an experienced buddy if you can until you get some more seat time.
Worth repeating. Good points Bash On!

I just don't agree with the "riding with an experienced buddy" part right away. I've ridden with noobs and they're typically dangerous as they've seen one to many "CHiPs" episodes and think we're supposed to ride side by side...even worse, they do that in the turns in city traffic! Brush up on some group riding etiquette, which I don't think they teach much of during the MSF course.
I actually don't like riding with anyone else really, at least people I don't know or haven't ridden with before. Until you get to know their habits, style, techniques, it can be nerve racking wondering what they might do.

One additional thought regarding the extended warranty:
If you have an extended Honda warranty on your PCX, it might
command a higher selling price later if you sell it while the warranty
is still in effect. At the very least, a potential buyer would
probably be more likely to buy your scooter if he/she knows
that it is still under warranty. I was told by Honda (before
my purchase of the PCX) that the extended warranty is
completely transferrable to the next owner.
It's entirely possible that having a warranty still in effect might
allow you to get a higher selling price that might, in effect,
"pay" for the warranty.
Anyhow, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. In the end, who
knows ? I paid for it, and now I'm really enjoying riding it. This
would be heresy among the Ducati faithful, but I'm enjoying
riding the PCX150 more than I enjoyed riding my Ducati sport
bike. That thought occurred to me the other day when I was riding
my PCX down the road with a big grin on my face. Speed ain't
everything, you know !!! Who needs to do 160 mph, anyway ?
Not this hillbilly.

True, whether or not your future selling costs recoups the cost of the warranty, who knows. It certainly can't hurt your efforts in selling the scooter down the road, unless you stick to an unreasonably high price in an attempt to cover the cost of the warranty!

Awesome!!! I'm in San Diego and also have a white 2015. Already have a chopped fender, exhaust, pod filter, and NCY variator and drive face. Loving the bike so far. Sorry to everyone else here, and even myself since I own (2) 2013's as well, but the 2015 looks so much better! Lemme know if you hae any questions about modifications. I'm happy to help.
