Imagine one where the back support is as far back as they could get it while still leaving a little bit of room, say maybe half to 2/3s of what they have of those custom seats. Then add all that padding they have on the custom seats. That should give most of us long legged people room to stretch our legs. As they are right now though, they are much better than the factory ones.
What you suggest would be really interesting for those long legged riders, and something that Thailand seat manufacturers should take into consideration. Perhaps Thailand riders are not as tall as US and European ones, but given that they sell so many seats abroad, if they manufactured some seats like the one that you mention, they would sell even more!

Nice Brant, it seems like the transaction is going along very smoothly so far. You handled it well, and were very wise to mention our forum. A win/win for both sides should everything continue along this smooth course. Very anxious to read how quickly you receive it, and of course to see it on your scoot. Thanks for being the guinea pig (as we say) with the unknown.
No question, you're gambling. Bring on the payoff!

You're correct. I re-did my seat myself (I wanted to try if I could), and the difference is enormous... it feels as if I had a whole different scooter!!

Yes i found a guy that does motorcycle seats and has removed a few PCX humps. For custom work like the seat i ordered he priced it at around $200. $150 just for removing the hump and adding more padding. Right now i am roughly half of that cost plus i have the original seat if i ever need to put it back on for some reason - like to trade it in. If fact i can easily reverse every change i made to the bike.

I'm glad you've had such a great experience so far. I'm getting pricing right now for a seat for my Forza. If you are happy with the quality and comfort of yours then I'll be ordering one as well.

I just sent an email to mp.motors and asked them about the possibility of moving the back support back a bit more. I will keep everyone updated if I get an answer. If they can, then I will order one. If not, I will have to think about it since I already have one custom seat ( After 4 back surgeries, and another being scheduled now, I need a back support when I ride unless I have a passenger).

Cool. Most of my emails from them are answered between 1am and 10am CT. I saw on MapQuest they are 7900 miles from my house.

My friend is contemplating which Grom seat to order from them. Some of them nearly look like Air Hawk's type padding on top. A stock Grom seat has virtually no padding at all.
MP.Motor has added a lot more photos.

I do like the seat with the high back as well if it is far enough back.

Off topic sorry. Mel did you ever hear of or try this back support belt?
http://www.backaline.com/pages/home.html
I've read some good reviews in the past from some folks on the modern vespa forum. It was recommended to me by a "long distance rider" with a bad back. Like from Canada to the Florida Keys and back!!

By himself.
I did buy one but haven't tried it yet while riding. I take an ibuprofen a 1/2 hour before every ride. Works for now, and as long as the ride doesn't last longer than the pill.
....I'm following this saddle thread. Your seat is almost here!! Yey SECoda! I like the back on that last pic you showed too, but I have the same question...how far Back is back? When does the rise up begin?

I just heard back from mp motor. Here is what they said:
Thank you so much for your email. We are very happy for the great feedback. Regarding the back support, all models can be moved back any (amount) you want. How much inch you need to move back?
Best regards

If i order a seat from them i will probably sell my present seat. I think there were several people on the forum who were interested. I will probably sell it for $100.

Whitenoise, that back support looks good but it says on the site that it has magnets in it. I have a spinal cord stimulator implant in my back. Magnests are a no no. I carry a card that i show to TSA for special handling. I have a special back support i wear when doing work, like cutting grass, but it restricts my movements so i can't wear it while riding.
