Yes I confirm this to be a great little tachometer although the instructions didn't say anything about tape on anything. Instructions were a little vague and assumed you knew to do this I guess. Mine is on the bars cabled down through the steering column then under the lower side panel wrapped around the spark plug cord 15-20 times... no tape, works great!sendler2112 wrote:I have the Koso tach.

It is very easy to install since it is battery powered and uses an inductive pickup wire which is just wrapped around the spark plug wire and taped.
