Maddie, I'm thinking about getting a seat pad. There seem to be two types: gel and one containing polymer (dry) material. Obviously this lays on top of the exisiting seat and is secured with straps.

I removed the hump on mine and recovered the seat .Ok its not a perfect job and i may just get it done by a pro now moneys a bit better but not regretted it one bit.I added some extra foam where the hump used to be as i had removed the plastic that allowed the hump to be bolted on.

Forget any fears of slipping back off the seat, never once had that senario however hard i accelerate away.Holding onto the handlebars is enough, its not exactly a 600cc scooter is it ?

Here is a seat the seat I got in Thailand for 1,400฿ ($45 US - £30 - €34). It is very comfortable.

Well that looks pretty darn nice. Does a full helmet still fit underneath? Might you have a link to the place where you got it?

Not I'm doing any mods yet - only 120 miles, but that does look like a very nice change-out.

I do not know if a full helmet fits as I have an open face helmet.

Here is a link to the shop. It will be in Thai, but if you use a browser that gives you the option to translate (such a Chrome), you should be okay. Because I live in Bangkok, I went directly to the shop. It is quite an operation and I suspect that they make the seats for the other sellers such as Powerbypcx, but I don't know that for sure.

I've got a seat from these guys through powerbypcx and it doesn't fit my helmet under it. I have a fullface XL Bell helmet and it would just fit under the original seat. I am going to look into getting the original base reskinned with the material from the new seat. apart from that the seat is great

Hi I have the original seat on my Honda PCX 125, only thing is is I am 4foot 11 inches tall and I am unable to get both feet on the ground when I am sitting on the seat, does anyone know if and where I can get a new seat that is low and does not have the hump at the front of the seat?

They all have the front hump. I can't explain why, but i think it is to keep you from sliding forward if you did an emergency stop. My wife is 5 ft tall and we did a few things to make it easier for her to ride. Here is the list:
1. Purchased a lower seat from powerbypcx.com
2. Bought Takegawa lowering shocks
3. Bought Demonia Ranger 301 boots ( with 3.5" soles)
4. Bought the tall Givi windshield..323DT

She has now put over 11,000 miles on her bike and loves it.

I have a seat question: I just got my PCX, have about 500 miles on her so far. I'm a long experienced rider (47 years) and have mostly ridden bigger machines: Last 14 years were on a Honda Valkyrie, 1,530cc.

I am loving the PVX as a quiet, fun ride, except for the seat. I find it hard and get a sore bottom after 30 minutes. I'm slim built and don't have much "natural padding" down there. Is it me? Have other's encountered this and found a way to resolve? I'm thinking about getting one of those gel pads that clips on over the seat. I know it will look ugly, but I want to rider longer without squirming from discomfort.

Any suggestions?

I'm wondering if the front-hump is there to add storage space for helmets?
