Heh, well, I had to visit the in-laws this weekend and we took the wife's car. Also, does your Leo have any fibrous packing material around the flute and between the outer wall. You should be able to see without removing the baffle.
If I could sneak some fibre wool stuffing in there without needing a can opener, it might be quiet enough to run without the silencer, and consequently make some power.

I actually think that those loud exhaust do nothing for safety as they are noisy after they pass you, not so much on the upcoming.. To each is own I guess...the main thing is to have fun and enjoy 2 wheeling !!!
