On mine it seems that the rocker mechanism (the one having the spring) is a little loose on its pivot. But coming to think of it once i hold the left break the assembly is not loose, so the thinking noise is not coming from it. Is the noise coming from driving only? Or you can simulate it when the bike is stand stillchicaboo wrote:I just took the cover plate off the CBS. What's this about the rocker?
I hear the vibration noise when going over bumps and cornering, usually in the middle of the rev range.Andreapcx wrote:On mine it seems that the rocker mechanism (the one having the spring) is a little loose on its pivot. same here, removed the plate and found no difference with the noise.Andreapcx wrote:I removed that plate too, but the noise was still there....
Done and thanksWhiteNoise wrote:Andrea, please do us a favor (and yourself) enter your location by going back to the user control panel. It's easy, just follow my simple directions below this post. I read you want to purchase a 2016 Service Manual, your location will help us to help you locate one. How about that!
Even I will keep you updated if it is solved..... Fingers crossed it does get solvederanby wrote:same here, removed the plate and found no difference with the noise.Andreapcx wrote:I removed that plate too, but the noise was still there....
I do think it's related to the head bearing free play- I'm quiet positive the damn click is
coming from this part.
I'll ask my dealer to re-tighten the head bearings and will updated
whether it's solved the problem or not.

I have the french service manual and not a word is said about the cable arragement in the clamp, they just state to note how cables are arranged and do the same when remounting- not very helpful...WhiteNoise wrote:I believe this is the metal collar that Mel is referring to (Stretch the photo to see the part better).
You are looking at a 2016 PCX'S Handlebar, Cover and what lies beneath the cover.
From http:/www.cheapcycleparts.com
The arrow points to the collar (an odd shaped clamp, if you will) that the brake cables, etc run through. Check this area. Make sure you have the clamp and that all cables are inside and around them. Not loose and tapping about.
Do you have a Service Manual? The manual will show you the proper arrangement for the cables that go inside that clamp. Hard to explain. I've been in there and done that when I replaced my brake light switch on a 2011 PCX I had.
I'm hoping this is the solution to your noise. Good luck!
