By my calculation to build the entire clutch pack unit would cost 185.26 plus a 50.00 tool from bike bandit. Total cost 235.26 plus shipping.

You must succeed young Jedi in your mission and prove a 30.00 ebay clutch pack will work on a 2011-14 PCX. I will install the one I have on my 2015 as soon as my work load lightens. Between you and I this must be known as all Federation members will benefit greatly and many credits will be saved from such a discovery. If for any reason the entire clutch pack won't install and work on a 2013 disassemble and extract the FACE, SET DRIVEN that's inside and use that to replace your failing one (it will work). This is your last line of action and requires learning how to dissemble and reassemble a clutch using the force.

WhiteNoise I'm going to need you to clean up all links and references to the variator in this thread at some point and change the title of eggmans post to 'Will ebay's Gy6 parts fit a PCX?' The ebay Gy6 variator part has been eliminated as compatible with any year PCX and we don't need anyone else purchasing it to find out.

eggmans thread, effort and initiative is worthy of sticky for an inexpensive and EASY alternative to replacing clutch shoes and bearings on ALL years of Honda PCX125/150

He shall make forum history

Warning, insider information. If eggman and I are successful a video will be made and posted for all my YT subscribers of this discovery with a link to that ebay vendor. He will be done faster than a toupee in a hurricane.

When you are torqued down and finished with installation of the clutch you will be tempted to test drive without replacing the CVT cover (don't do that) You will see there is a little bearing that supports the clutch and that final drive shaft in your CVT cover. Good luck!

What do you suspect? Belt pinch? Going to go duplicate your attempt on the LED PCX. If you are convinced it will not fit a 2013 will you go about the business of extracting the 26 dollar FACE, DRIVE DRIVEN from that part?

I'm already in... the clutch bells are the same and interchangeable and so are the splines for a 2015. Taking off the variator so I can mount the whole clutch and see if I can experience a lock up like you did.

Perfect fit on the 2015 and that means 16 and 2017. All that remains is a ride on the Gy6 clutch from ebay. I will bail you out for your time and trouble with this experiment eggman.

I have a new 2013 face driven bearing for your bike. Either send me the ebay clutch for my stock or pass it on to a member with an LED PCX or return it for a refund IDK. But PM me your address and I will get this replacement part in the mail to you tomorrow. We may have our results and the answer to your post heading, just sorry you haven't benefited yet :(

That's the spirit! Do show your contraption when you get a chance and your clutch as you say it looks different. I got your ship to... push on young Jedi, you will win soon enough :D

A performance evaluation of the ebay Gy6 clutch will follow shortly.

In conclusion;

There are minor differences between the OEM Honda clutch assembly and the generic Gy6 clutch assembly found on eBay.

The Honda OEM clutch assembly is $185.00 total bought in pieces by part numbers. You must put it together with a 50 dollar tool or make your own tool to compress the spring.

The eBay Gy6 is $29.00 total and it comes pre-assembled (no special tool) but only fits LED PCX - 2015 and later.

The generic Gy6 clutch assembly has some minor physical differences to OEM but the fit on the shaft and spline is a match and the material is very comparable.

The Gy6 clutch performance seems identical to the OEM clutch assembly, pulls hard, smooth and quiet. I did not run it 70 mph I will leave that to you crazies.

It will be a while before LED PCX's are needing new clutch shoes and bearings so it's really too bad this won't fit 2010-2014 models. All in all its a good discovery for the forum knoledge base but not that exciting since it won't help older bikes that really need an inexpensive alternative clutch assembly.

Special thanks to Eggman for participating.

Use the grease packet that will come with your part. Appy all 7 grams of it between the bearings of the Face, Driven set. Kneading it into the actual bearings themselves as well.
