I've got the manual and I'm trying to change the rear tail light. Any tips on taking out the rear side panels that the tail light is attached to? It's not super clear in the book.

What website did you buy the body parts from?

I took a nasty spill on my PCX today and have to replace the right side, and the front.

Thanks

Got the panels at http://www.PowerSportsPlus.com

Search thru the diagrams on the parts site, sometimes it's not obvious where the panels are located but they are all there.

Just replaced all panels on right side. Took about 5 hrs. total. After doing it once, and figuring out how it comes apart and goes back together, I could probably do it again in 2 hrs. Total cost was under $60 for three main panels.

Remember that PCX 125 panels will fit a 150. I ordered replacement parts for my red 150 from both Bikebandit.com.com and Partzilla.com. Both were for the 125. All of them fit perfectly and the colors match.

Hi guys, could you help me please? I fell down with my new PCX 125 (version 2014) and scratched it on right side. Side cover and floor step are cracked and I would like to repair them. But there is a problem... I easily removed side cover (which is in color of my scooter), but I can not find a way how to remove black floor step. I spent almost 2 hours under scooter, but I was not successful.

Could anyone help me with this? Can I ask you send me a pictures from repair manual with procedure how to put floor step panel down? Thank you very much!

Oops... welcome to the forum, and I hope that you are ok ;)

About the scooter, I assume that you are not in the USA, and your 2014 model is the new one? (it's the 2015 model in the States)

If it's the new one, I don't know if the procedure is the same than in the old model, but just in case I'm attaching to this post a guide that a forum used uploaded to the forum some time ago. You can have a look at it and find out if the process is the same ;)

McGoff: Where are you from? Your PCX seems to be brown, a very rare color (I have only seen it in catalogue's pictures) and we would like to see a picture of the whole scooter ;)

I thought it was odd as the colour of the old/new pcx's on dealers websites in the UK did not have that colour, but as someone pointed out (GN2?), dealers did start listing that colour option some months back - they have added it to the usual colours.

Thanks! It's a very rare colour, and I would have had a hard time choosing between that one and the white I chose ;)

Hi guys, I am from Czech Republic, my Honda PCX 125 is model which started sell in the middle of 2014. Some distributors call it model 2014 or version 3. Now I checked websites of my distributor and he also renamed it to model 2015 o_O Scooter in brown color you can see on this websites: http://www.honda.cz/motorcycles/range/s ... tions.html or http://www.motorkari.cz/clanky/redakcni ... 28370.html

IMHO the brown color is the most nice color of this scooter :-) I was choosing between brown, white and silver. And the brown is simply the best.

Thank you for sending manual how to remove body panels. I already put them down after 3 hour work before you sent it. It was sometime quite difficult but it is possible to make it without manual.

Below I am sending you picture after work. Tomorrow I am going to assembly it, plastic parts should be already welded.

Wow! You are very brave, and I'm really happy that you are going to accomplish it, even if it takes some additional time! :D :D :D :D :D

Please let us know if the process that you have performed is similar to the one described in the manual, as yours is the first dissasembly of a new model PCX in the forum, and it would be very useful if/when we need to take one of the panels apart ;)

We look forward to see the PCX again with all her panels in place! I have read about "welding" of the panels, so I understand that you are going to repair them or have someone do it for you? Welding plastic must be difficult, so if you do it, it means that price of panels in your country is expensive? Please let us know ;)

I have a guy who weld it for me for approx 600 CZK (it is about 27,9 USD or 21,8 EUR). New panels cost 2 000-3 000 CZK/piece (93 USD-139,5 USD or 72,7 EUR - 109,1 EUR). In authorized service they do not repairing it, they are only changing it for new one. My distributor told me that approx price of parts which will be changed (righ side cover, right floor step, right body cover, right front cover) will cost 10 000 CZK (work included), it is about 465,1 USD or 363,6 EUR o_O

My first thought was: "Are you crazy???". So i decided to repair it by myself. Below I attached pictures of scooter after crash. Red marked are parts which are very scratched and they need new paint (and weld in case of side cover and floor step). Green marked are parts which are not so much scratched and they can be repaired by pollishing this parts. Yellow marked is cover of muffler which is not important to repair.

If you want to dissassembly panels in the middle of scooter, you have to start from rear:

1. side cover
2. grab rail cover
3. grab rail
4. seat
5. luggage box
6. body cover
7. floor step

Thank you very much for the very detailed information, and it seems that with patience and time we could dissasemble the whole new model scooter if we need to! On the other hand, I see that prices for Honda PCX parts are as expensive in the Czech Republic as in Spain!!! Most of this forum users' are from the USA, and they are extremely lucky, as their (online) prices are really affordable, and they can get them for some dollars and a couple of clicks :D :D :D :D :D :D

If you didn't like your brown colour so much, and you were thinking about changing it, you could always purchase a whole set from powerbypcx:

http://www.powerbypcx.com/boutique-tag- ... ie_v3.html

for 399,00 eur + shipping and you would have a whole set of plastics, but only in white, matte gray, black or red, and you could always sell online the unused/in good shape parts, but I'm sure that repairing the parts will be ok, and you can always paint the whole bike if it's difficult to match the original color ;)

Older PCX's prices are incredibly low in the referred page (179-199 eur depending on colour):
http://www.powerbypcx.com/boutique-tag- ... serie.html

But prices for the newer panels are much higher... grrrr... let's hope that in some time, prices drop a little bit!!! 8)

Thanks again, and please don't hesitate in letting us know how the process goes! ;)
