I don't know your mechanic who changed your tire but I have noticed in some of the lower priced shops that they reuse the same valve stem that was on the original tire, and then charge for a new one. That saves them a little money, but can cause problems for many of the customers. Hopefully they didn't do that but I don't know how you can check.

It looks and feels different from the old one. I will keep a check and then contemplate the horrible, taking the wheel off and checking, or getting checked, the inner rim wall. As long as it's only a few psi/week, I can live with that so see if it starts to lose more.
