F'ing useless things.
This is illegal in most municipalities, including the entire USA. ;)

Of course, in Georgia it is hard to tell what is legal and what isn't. I've never been in a state so lacking on traffic enforcement that cars drive around with one or no brake lights and no one cares.

I noticed from my first sit on the PCX the mirrors didn't really didn't stick out enought to get a good view to side and back - catches my body more than it should.

Those extenders look like a good idea.

Or you can just bend your mirrors, thats what I did :o
Put the mirror upside down in a vise, thread a couple of nuts all the way on the mirror(so the threads don't get bent(the thinnest part will bend first)).
Take the right size socket with a long extension and slowly bend the mirror as much as needed.

I'm thinking of removing mine. Don't use them much, and I thought I might rig up some sort of screen and rear facing camera. Any thoughts?

Cool idea, how would you make the screen waterproof?

As a cheap first attempt I'm thinking of making it easy to remove and mounted under the front screen. It would be out of the rain (mostly) when travelling and under the seat when parked.

This is going to be my first buy;

You could get a reevu helmet with a mirror built into it: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=448

Life savers are a must but if you rely on them alone, you'll fail.

Are you sure? I've always had at least one bike without mirrors and I've never failed to reach my destination.

Are you getting mixed up with punctures?
