And noooo if you look again you'll see I dismounted the PCX and pushed it along the cycle lane. If I had taken the diversion I would have got caught in a one-way system going a mile in the opposite direction...

Na... He looked OK, was standing and talking to the lady from the car. Speed was minimal. I'm still wondering if he didn't see the car or the lady stopped, then started to go the same time as he did.

Besides I didn't see the accident, I heard the crash and turned my head to see. Much later I figured out that I may have a recording.

What was all the horn blowing near the start - wasn't sure if that was due to the scooter rider or just some of the cars being inpatient.
Wojtek, I see you make use of idle stop . Before I saw your nick and checked your location I thought this may be the US being large open roads and many people on here are from the US, but saw you filter so that was a clue

Yes, I use Start/Stop. It works. And with modern crossing design where every direction has it's own green light you wait for your turn 2 minutes or more sometimes, S/S is a logical thing... That's the times we live in... Some time ago you waited only 30 or so seconds for green light and didn't need start/stop.
So, s/s heroically solves the problem caused by something we created...
