I still find the fogging of my glasses and helmet visor the most annoying inconvenience. Apart from that it could be quite nice winter riding.

To prevent fogging of visor I must keep it open a very small amount.....and at stops open full to also keep spectacles clear..Your face gets used to it.

So, there is a hope.

Riding with the vent or visor open is not fun at all in zero Celsius. It's like -20C considering wind chill effect. Not fun.

Last winter I tried various ant-fogging cloths and paste ...with mediocre results. This year I open visor 5mm +/- and ride ok.....yes it is cold at 15 degrees Fahrenheit and 40mph !!
Expensive PinLok is said to work good....but not on my JVC helmet.
But I like to ride my scooter, and not take the city bus!

furniture polish makes a smeary mess on a visor. RainX will eat the plastic.

Plexus cleaner and Photex scanner wipes are the only cleaning products I use on a visor.

Told the fellow in the coffee shop that if he stands close he will note that I smell like a roasted turkey. ("I have that many hand warmers going on myself!")

Just used my new Hi-Viz vest and did 37 miles. 52 F, sunny, and no wind.... Supposed to be an even warmer weekend.

Hi-Viz setup. I know the helmet is dark. At least the scooters are red. I was a bit too warm today.

How cold will I ride?

Plexus is stated to have anti-static properties, but it does NOT prevent fogging in the least.

For humid days, I use Clarity DeFog It. I have both the liquid and the wipes. Both work equally well, but I think the wipes are a tad easier to apply. Haven't had an opportunity to test it in ice cold conditions yet though .

We will get into the 40s F. this weekend and as long as there is no rain, we'll be riding! Will be using hand warmers. Might even go with the toe warmers that I recently discovered.
@SECoda - I got a dark visor for my Hi-Viz helmet and love it.
@Fish - Yesterday also found body warmers. they were larger warmers with adhesive.

Just did about 41 miles. It's 54 F but overcast at the moment. Stretching the wings on the Forza a bit on the interstate now that I hit 300 miles. It is awfully smooth at 75 mph compared to a Harley.

I got out today too. Was a high of 42 F. Went to the coffee shop to have coffee with my brother who rode his bicycle. My ride was 32 miles round trip. My brother's ride 1 mile. Used the toe warmers today and they worked great! Was able to wear a lighter pair of boots. Winter's coming. Get your riding while you can!

We went out riding today, for about 30 miles. The temp was around 53 and there was some wind. We bundled up with long underwear and heavy coats. I had my Hi Viz Tour master 3/4 Sonata. It was warm. I installed home made wind guards on our bikes and were fine until our chins got a bit cold. I have stuff for that too but we really don't like riding in the cold. Maybe it will get warmer this week. Bikes need exercise too. :-)

One balaclava that flows down on the chest cures cold chin....I wear 2 for really cold days....yes it stretches the helmet pads, but I have a summer set of pads for my jvc helmet (revzilla)

53 F. is great riding weather!

It is like spring out there this morning. Sunny, windless, and about 60 F already. This has to end soon. Time to gas up the scooter!

Did you know your right foot is 2.4" bigger than your left? Do you find yourself turning left alot?

You have to remember that we are Southerners. Our blood has turned to water, and we don't like cold....not that we like the 100 degree temps that come with summer. Most of the winter is spent indoors though because we don't like low temps, high wind, and wet weather. We pick and choose our riding days, but when we aren't riding we are down in the basement looking at our poor, clean bikes which are just sitting there. :-/ But it does give me time to do some inventing on them, like the hand wind guards I created, and the leg wind guards I invented, and the extra lights I installed. Still, I would rather be riding!

66 miles of scenic Ozarks today. Maybe this can carry me through the cold days coming.
