That would be Newcastle Brown.
Locally known as "Nooky Broon" which sounds suspiciously like something else entirely...

Yup! Unfortunately now brewed by Heineken in Holland. Nothing's sacred!
I remember drinking Newcastle Amber, in Newcastle ,when I was on my honeymoon and passing through in back in 1971. They stopped making it many years ago.

Well, it is pouring outside right now. I thought about going to the basement to start putting my bike back together. I may, or I may not.
However, before I start I have a question. Look at the attached picture. Can anyone tell me if something is suppose to be attached to the circled hole? I don't see anything that looks like it might be disconnected. The loose hose has a home, as I pointed out in the picture. So, does anything attach to the end of the circled device?

As "younger-teens our gang" indulged in just about any beer we could get our grubby hands on.
(Shhh....."Your Mother Should Know")
I do recall Miller and Schlitz.
But We really dug the shape of these 2 bottles/jars(?) so we drank them More often.
Heh! We were COOL
Chug-a-Mug my fav!

I love St. Patty's Day! It is too bad that I can no longer drink alcohol. :-(
My great grandmother was first born Irish-American with her parents straight off of the ship from Ireland. I wish I had known her, but then I would be alot older than I am now...probably even dead by now. My father's first cousin is still around, and she remembers, so I try to learn about that side of the family through her.

Wow Mel - that's a good question. My quick answer (having never take my PCX apart yet) is to look at page 7-2, 7-3, and 7-28 in the Service Manual.
That component you have the huge circle around (with the letters GFM visible on it) appears to me to be the Evap Cannister. From what my frail brain can interpret, on the starboard side of the PCX there would be two hoses hooked up and on the port side there would only be one. . .leaving the big hollow protrusion in the middle as an orphan (no hoses hooked up). I could be wrong but after looking at the diagrams on pages 7-2 and 7-3 and then looking at the photos on 7-28 that's the best I can come up with.
I hope Homie or Easy Rider or someone who has taken the PCX apart to that extent can chime in here.

A lot of Robins were feeding in my yard today. . .searching the lawn for whatever. Now that you mention it I think it is the first time I've seen them this year.
Waiting for the Gold Finches to show up soon as well so I can stock the feeder with thistle again.
The squirrels aren't big on thistle. They sure do like sunflower seeds though. I used to get the mixed variety bags of seed but had to back off. . .was starting to cost $$$. . .especially when the raccoons and possums were looking for their share as well and it seemed I'd no sooner fill the feeder and it would be empty again.
Snowing to beat the band right now. Governor has shut down the state at the border to tractor trailer trucks. Power outages are gaining momentum again. Ouch. The Winter of 2018. . .what a trip.

Well, it was rain much earlier today.
Now our second Nor'easter on Long Island in the past two weeks! Temps were lingering around the 32 mark, and now droppng. A blanket of heavy wet snow covering everything. Gusty winds, but not as bad as expected. West and North of us things are much worse.
A lot of deep slush, now forming ice on roadways, folks are trying to get home "safely." Sirens are howling, and "rare to us thunder-snow" was heard. Tall lopsided aged pine trees are swaying, tree limbs are sagging and breaking. Trees are falling. Power lines are down, there are outages. Plows are plowing non-stop. Newscaster announcing that 3,000 flights were cancelled. I'm not going anywhere.
Then there are folks who are still flooded out from the first storm, this one brings them more misery. Boats are ready to save lives, they are brave kind souls.
.....there goes the siren again, I pray no ones hurt
I know some of you are in this Storm's path. Are you ok?

I looked at my weather app. Looks like the northeastern part of the U.S. is getting slammed. We have friends and relatives up there. Good luck to all of you.
Meanwhile, down here in the Southern States anyway, weather is windy and cool. The weather person said that our normal temp is in the low 60s, but yesterday it was in the high 40s and very low 50s, with winds 15 to 25 mph. Can't ride in that kind of wind. Last night it was freezing. Crazy weather!
