When I left the cold north a long long time ago I said that I might visit it but I would never live there again, and I haven't!

Conversations up there go something like this:
"Want to do something with the gang this weekend?"
"Nope. Can't. It snowed last night. Have to go out my second story window so that I can shovel my way to the front door."
"How about after that?"
"More snow coming."

Lucky you Mel! You didn't miss a thing up North! Very soon you'll be out and about riding. Shoot! I'm trying to pick an oil change day. It'll happen.

Very heavy shoveling today. Kind of like a heavy snow watery mix. A utility line was down about a half mile from my house. Awkward spot. . .just as people are rounding a bend to see a great view of L.I. Sound there's a bent over tree and highway cones marking where to detour around the hazard. It's just high enough to get under on one side. Wouldn't want to pass through with a Greyhound Bus though.

Knock on wood my power only flickered occasionally last night. . .just enough to have to reset the time on the microwave oven a few times.

The last time I looked Long Island was still there. Despite the weather we got through another day to take advantage of the Ride Red Sale.

Actually a storm tracking east right now will hopefully pass just south of here and Long Island next Monday. Otherwise it could be a really "Doozie".

I just watched a gust of wind bend some smaller trees over, and knock some small branches to the ground. It is fun to watch the birds get blown off of the bird feeders. :-) yep, gusts to 30 mph today.

It cometh again. Nor'easter #3 in less than a month! Yesterday I cut blocks of iced snow with a garden spade in prep of This upcoming dumpload. Arg!!

4th Nor'easter this March month!

Rain and sleet starts early this evening. Tomorrow 8am the bad comes. 6-8" snow But could go higher > 12" With winds 45-60mph SAY IT ISN'T SO!

I shoveled for hours then made igloo's at the corner of my driveway. Why grow up?
While cleaning the roof of my truck I pushed the snow across the roof and it made a tunnel through it from one side to the other. Nothing collapsed!

Yup. . .I saw the 22 inches accumulation amounts posted for Long Island on the news for that storm. If it were only 10 miles or so more North we would have got that much as well. It's almost all gone here now. A few residual patches in shadowy areas still persist. As you can see here from last weekend the tourists haven't yet arrived in numbers at the beaches yet. In about another month or two this street will be lined up with golf carts. . .especially at Sunset.

Got a little less than that on this side of the Sound. Temps are starting to warm up and it's melting fast now. The roads are clear. . .although a bit wet. I did manage to get the MOPED out today though. Don't want to get the PCX dirty.

I just had to take my pcx out, dirt or no dirt...pollen or no pollen. I will wash it when all of this "stuff" is gone. Meanwhile, ride ride ride!

Pollen? That time again, heh Mel? What a p.i.t.a.!! Hang in there, start stocking up on sneezy meds if yas need them!

I've been sneezing for a few weeks now
In unison, we've got snow while buds are forming.
I vividly remember the pollen down South. Various shades of yellow, green, brown, n black. Then it seems to grow where ever it lands. It piles up. Never ending, making living uncomfortable, not to mention all the outdoor cleaning. It even gets indoors!
Pollen algae and mold, haha heehee hoho. Not funny.

I can't See our pollen "right now," but my sinus' are well aware of its' presence.
