Hmm ya, definitely not over-privileged. Nice.
I have to admire the tenacity and strong determination of humanity and it's ability to adapt when the chips are down. :D

May the road rise to meet them and the wind be always at their backs. 8)

The wealthy ones want people to give away their cars, their homes, their identity, so the wealthy ones have even more wealth at the expense of the masses.

And then there are those who accept that idea because they don't want the responsibility of taking care of themselves. Growing up is such a hassle.

I reckon one of the first mods is at least the rear suspension.

The original "Mini Cooper" . . . the essence.

I miss the days before all the big corporate buyouts and what it said on the label was what you really got . . . for better or for worse. :geek:

You have to to update that 4 decades on two wheels-counting the days since I first crashed on my first bicycle I am over 6 decades.
About those old Riley Elfs and the Wolseley Hornets- if you remember that stuff
I got an easy one for you
Pin a name to the quote- It's a Great day for motor car racing.

Sorry to interrupt but I'm going to take two wild guesses without looking it up . . ..

I'm thinking either Sterling Moss or Jackie Stewart.

So who is it gn2??? :geek:

BTW I don't remember seeing a Riley or Wolseley in my neck of the woods. But I did get to ride in a Morris Minor a few times. Even then they were far and few between to be seen on these shores.

If you count pushbikes then its five decades and change.

That quote would be Sir John Young "Jackie" Stewart OBE

Bit of a coincidence but my 1969 988 Morris Mini Cooper should be back on the road this summer after a 35 year break. Any interest in pictures?

That would be great! Half a century old eh? Wow . . .. :D

The closest I ever got to driving anything like a "Mini" was an "Austin America" a friend of mine had.

Even now when I drive my Honda Fit Sport I still think about that Austin America. The direct injection does give the econobox Honda some lively spirit . . . especially with the stick shift.

Here's some pics for laughs. A lot of fun on the cheap.

I keep it covered or garaged regularly so the yellow paint doesn't fade from sun exposure. 20 years from now (God willing) I'd still like it to look this good. 8)

Looking forward to seeing those pictures of the "Mini" when the weather warms up . . ..
